The Local Option Arts Awards are up and running with flying colours. Sixteen businesses in the heart of Port Perry are hosting sixteen artists from Sept 14th 28th with members of the public getting to chose the winners by voting for their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices. First prize is $500-, 2nd prize- $250 and 3rd prize $125.... The business who hosts the winner and a member of the public who voted will also win prizes. They will receive copies of our book Persephone’s Eden A Celebration of the Life and Works of Michael Reeves, about the sponsor of this event, and $50- to spend at a participating business of their choice. There will be readings from the book at the Scugog Arts gallery from 2 to 2:30 pm as part of Culture Days in Scugog celebrations. Please check the SCA website at www.scugogarts.ca

Vote for your favourite artists and enter to win a prize! Join us for the Local Option Arts Awards in Port Perry, opening this Saturday, September 14th. To qualify for the voter prize, visit the participating businesses in the heart of Port Perry and vote for your top three favourite artists! Simply fill out the ballot page on your map (available at all participating business and the SCA Gallery) and drop it into any of the LOAA ballot boxes. The winner will be drawn at the Scugog Council of the Arts Gallery (181 Perry St. Unit G-1) on Saturday, Sept 28th at 4pm!

Announcing the Local Option Arts Awards! As part of the final celebrations of our 2019 Retrospective, the Reeves family will be sponsoring The Local Option Arts Awards as part of Port Perry’s Culture Days. Businesses in the heart of Port Perry will host artists from September 14th 28th. Members of the public can vote for their favourite artists to determine the winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. There will also be a prize for the business who hosts the winning artist, and ...a draw prize for a voting member of the public.
