She wore 3 crowns The maiden, mother and crone. We saw you Shereen Dindar. Beloved Sister - you were witnessed by two crones as you morphed before our eyes. ... Firm in her dignity, grace and power, Shereen was carefully wrapped in muslin and then guided into the cool waters. She bravely reclined on the ancient river bed shaped by fossils while a great river pulsating with baby fish swirled around her body. A rare moment like this, one must surrender to expansion and awakenings. THERE COMES A TIME IN A WOMAN'S LIFE when she must release her desires to the gods of unconditionality and freely enter a purification process. With benevolence she will emerge the other side reborn, free of expectations AND more deeply aligned to her true purpose. Desires transformed. Shereen was determined to have a 'couple of outdoor shots' as part of her journey portrait. The weather gods were in full cooperation despite the stories the forecasters were promoting. Undetered by the perils of extreme heat and humidity warnings, we pushed on. If we'd heeded the stories and ignored our intutions we'd never even have considered the potentials let alone imagined the pure alchemy that unfolded that afternoon in the mighty Trent Severn here in the quiet haven of Campbellford. I learned a long time ago that often we must put ourselves out of our comfort zone to reach a new level of consciousness. This was such a case. All we needed to do was to hold steady our intention. Divine intervention is the only way to describe this 90 minute window of time where we ignored the warnings, found ourselves braving the elements only to witness the temps dropping, the humidity diminishing and the clouds parting just enough to create soft diffusion and the perfect amount of illumination, WITHIN AND WITHOUT. Many tears fell into the river that afternoon. They were returned as sparks of gratitude in our hearts. Ask and you shall receive. This expression on Shereen’s face... Bliss A goddess was indeed born that afternoon. IN SHEREEN'S WORDS: My JOURNEY PORTRAIT experience with Laurie Anne was nothing short of amazing. Never mind the fact that Laurie Anne and Michelle poured their heart and soul into every minute of the entire process, including two days of shooting where they were mentally and physically willing to go the distance -- they did all of that to ensure I had a truly transformative experience. And transformative, it was. I left feeling a bit like a new born baby, shed of burdens and pains that I literally didn’t know existed, weighing me down and preventing me from moving forward in life. My journey is one I feel destined to live, but yet know little about. Sometimes you just need change in your life, whatever that change may be. In my case, I know what change I need, I just don’t know exactly how to get there. But that’s okay, because part of the change process involves the in between state and THIS is precisely where Laurie Anne and her journey portrait can help. It’s like a psychic reading on steroids over the course of a few weeks with little reminders and messages from Laurie Anne to help you with the process. You will be nourished with healthy delicious food on the day of your shoot and be made to feel like a special snowflake. My advice to anyone considering it.
