2020 has been DIFFICULT for all of us. Now with more restrictions and lockdowns in place it is difficult to even think about Christmas without seeing our families. This will be the case for many patients in hospital and care facilities, some that haven't seen any visitors in months. As a volunteer at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences, I am reaching out with a two-fold ask. Firstly, if you have any connection/relationship to a company or individual that may be... able to provide any/some of the following items listed below, would you be able to connect me, so I can approach on behalf of Ontario Shores? Secondly, would you consider an in-kind donation of any number of the items from the list (or monetary equivalent) that would allow us to provide a Christmas Gift bag to the patients who are spending the holidays at the hospital? I would be happy to either collect donations from you or if you prefer to provide a monetary contribution, I will gladly do the shopping for you and show you what your $$ bought. Either way your contribution would be greatly appreciated and definitely enjoyed by those remaining in the hospital over the holidays. Other great donations are gift cards for pizza, subs, sandwiches etc. These can be used to order dinner for an entire unit and the patients can celebrate together with a special meal.
