Dreaming of warm sunny fall evenings!

With it being off season and a stay at home order I don't have any new work to share so I have been thinking about past work to post. I got a suggestion to start sharing some reception details and table settings so I am starting with these stunning fall place settings! Mackenzie and Jake had a beautiful harvest table set up with the most gorgeous fall details and I was in love capturing all the goodness!

Worried about rain on your wedding day? My best advice, buy some clear umbrellas and embrace it! It may not look like it from this photo but Julia and Matt rocked their wedding portraits down on the beach in a torrential downpour!! They say rain on your wedding day is good luck after all!

Happy New Year and Hello 2021! I have made wishes, have my fingers crossed and have knocked on everything wood in my apartment that this year is better then the one we just had! I am kicking the year off with another favourite from Natalie and Jasmer's sweet fall engagement session at Rock Glen!

Another adorable session at Civic Gardens is making it's way onto the blog today and I am so excited to share all about Laura and Katie's golden hour engagement session! Usually I would be blogging a new instalment of The Adventures of Samson and Michelle today as it is the first Tuesday of the month but I have decided to put a little hiatus on the Samson blogs to focus on another project this year. That being said the blog will go on as normal with weddings, sessions and educational posts and I am so excited to share this other personal Samson project later this year! It's a New Year so here are 3 fun facts about me to kick off 2021, 1) I have a pretty massive pin collection, I started 3 years ago and let me tell you the obsession is real! 2) Tylor and I also started collecting Funko Pops a few years back and now we have so many we barely have room for them in our apartment anymore . Our collection is just about to hit 200 and we have everything from characters from TV shows, video games and animes!... 3) I have only ever shot with a Nikon camera in my entire professional photography career. My first DSLR camera was a Nikon D90 that I bought the summer before college, I fell in love with Nikon and never wavered! Tell me a fun fact about you in the comments! Constantine Photography

Happy New Years Eve! Tylor, Samson and I will be doing what we alway do on New Years, a full Harry Potter marathon. We watch the first 4 movies on New Years Eve and the last 4 on New Years Day. It is a pretty fun way to ring in the New Year and man do we ever need something awesome to kick off 2021!

I have shared lots of engagement and wedding photos over the last month but I have yet to share any family session favourites. One of my favourite sessions last fall was with my friend Krystle, her now fiance Matt and her sweet daughter Finleigh! I cannot get over Finleigh's hilarious facial expressions through this shoot, she may have not been super into it but man was she ever fun to hangout with!

Wedding details are always my favourite thing to capture and I especially love when I get to photograph a detail that is completely unique to the couple. During their first look Meaghan gifted Zach these sweet bracelets engraved with the coordinates to their wedding venue, Bellamere! It was such a sweet moment during their first look and naturally I had to grab them for some more detailed photos later in the day. They are such an amazing and personalized gift idea!

Well here is a topic I never thought I would be writing a blog post about, planning for a covid wedding. I am sure I am not the only one who never in a million years thought that we would be living through a pandemic and having to change so many things about our day to day lives. Not only has covid changed so many things for so many people but it has MAJORLY affecting multiple industries with the wedding industry being one of the biggest ones hit. It's sad to see just how much this pandemic has changed weddings this year but there is a major silver lining I have been seeing in 2020. Obviously I had to share at least one night photo as they always end up being one of my favourite shots from every wedding I do them at! They are such a fun way to end off the night and in Mackenzie and Jake's case we got to get creative and do a bunch of night photos! I shared some as their sneak peeks but this one hasn't been shared until now.

Yesterday was an absolutely perfect day and I could not have asked for a better way to end off my 2020 wedding season!! Laura and Katie are two of the sweetest people I have ever met and it was amazing getting to watch these two tie the knot. Plus the day was full of laughs and love, what more could you ask for! Congratulations Laura and Katie!!

We are almost completely done our Christmas shopping over here! Usually we don't start this early but it feels so good to have almost all of our holiday gifts bought. Who is already done their holiday shopping?
