In progress- sharing as I enjoyed having some quiet/me time to create today. I enjoyed working with the paint in a quick and fluid way and hope to loosen up my style in this painting a bit more. It’s another day of Shop Local for the Holidays! Today we are featuring local artists at the Store Next Door. First we have Michelle Blades, who is an artist w...ho lives in beautiful Jordan Falls (Shelburne County). When I work with the vibrancy of nature I am reminded of its grounding energy. It is easy to find peace when in the presence of earths brilliance, neither in the past or future, but fully mindful of the beauty that surrounds in any given moment. I attempt to capture the magnificence of Mother Nature. When I create I am filled with a sense of elation. The paintbrush dances. The mark making is intense and quick. I’m in the moment experiencing the movement of colour, feeling and texture. Here are a few of her work that we have here for sale at the Store Next Door:

Finally got around to getting this painting finished. The gold paint I used on the tray shines, especially when the light hits it just right!
