Spending more time on Instagram and Twitter lately, and I'd love to connect with you there. Thanks to self isolation, I've posted more in the last week then I have in the past few years, and must admit I'm having fun :) Feedback and questions welcome, and conversation encouraged. See you there! https://www.instagram.com/michelledoyle.ca/ https://twitter.com/ImMichelleDoyle

Rabindranath Tagore believed in the religion of humanity and his idea of internationalism transcended borders and boundaries. At SPCkraft we are delighted to pr...esent our friend Michelle Doyle in a reading from THE RELIGION OF MAN. Michelle is an author, a wellness-speaker and a stand-up comedian based in Toronto. She is a dear friend and I met her through my sister Anuradha Sen. We can't thank her enough for her generosity and time. See more

Hello friends! To further support you on your practice, meet another dear friend and one of the best teachers I have ever practiced with: Premadasa of Pure Life Ayur Yoga - PLAY. He has been offering yoga nidra weekly, and if you've been dealing with insomnia, excess stress, or anxiety lately (who hasn't in some way?) then I HIGHLY encourage you to explore this practice. Namaste :)

Love that my friend and BC real estate agent extraordinaire Elysia Allen Real Estate is promoting the importance of reading and supporting local bookstores (as well as linking to a great CBC interview with Biblioasis owner Dan Wells.) Since she has the west coast covered, here are some great indies in Toronto: Queen Books, Another Story Bookshop, Type Books, Ben McNally Books, and House of Anansi Press. Next up after "Small Game Hunting at the Local Coward Gun Club" by Megan Gail Coles is "Stay Where I Can See You" by Katrina Onstad, and "Wow, No Thank You" by Samantha Irby (I heard this book is gut-splitting hilarious, and I don't know about you, but I could use a good laugh right now!) If you have any book recommendations, please send them my way :) Keep reading, my friends!

Greetings, friends. I've received some questions about meditation, and how to start. Although there are tons of youtube videos and apps out there, my dear friend and fellow teacher Paul Galloro has a program called "40 Days of Stillness," which is ideal for beginners. Paul is one of the kindest, most genuine people I know; and I'm confident that he can safely usher anyone into this wonderful practice. I hope this helps. And please keep the messages coming. If I can support you with your practice, I will :) Namaste. https://experience.paulgalloro.com/40-days-of-stillness

I've gotten a few messages about continuing yoga practice during self-isolation. I wholeheartedly recommend a teacher who is hands-down one of the best, most authentic, most well-versed teachers I've ever practiced with: Emma O'Neill-Harte. We taught at the same studio over a decade ago, and if you haven't yet experienced her class, now is the time! Please check out her free daily classes on her FB page: Mysore, Toronto. Also, she will be leading a 90 minute practice on Satur...days. For a reasonable donation of $25, you get an amazing class while supporting one of Toronto's most respected teachers. Please contact her at [email protected] and she will send you the details. p.s. She also makes beautiful malas, which are available at www.malasbyemma.com. Thanks again for reaching out. Sending you all love, please continue to keep in touch, and keep practicing! See more
