Can you go from a dumpsite to an eco-protected area? Yes, it is possible. In Tivat, Montenegro used to be a careless site for waste dumping, but thanks to cooperation from the public, and local coastal zone management, and tourism organizations, it now an excellent example of good restorative change. Today it is an eco-tourism site equipped with info-points, a visitor centre, revived old bridges and paths, bird watching stations, and guided tours. Spanning 150 acres, Solila is home to 110 bird species. You may even get to see some of the most endangered bird species, such as flamingos, cranes, cormorants, or hawks. #TPISustainability #TPITravel

Slovenia is an outdoor lover's destination, crowned world's most sustainable country by National Geographic's World Legacy Award in 2016. The country is home to snow-capped mountains, beaches, rivers and four UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and a countryside bursting with biological diversity. A good understanding of the modern-day traveler’s desire for a healthy way of living and visitor experience helped Slovenia to promote responsible travel practices early on in its tourism strategies. #TPISustainability #TPITravel
