HEALTH TIP NO 76: Commit to just 5 minutes I know you're probably like what? Just 5 minutes? But hold on, let me show you the math;... 5 Minutes x 7 Days a Week = 35 Minutes 5 Minutes x 30 Days a Month = 150 Minutes 5 Minutes x 365 Days a Year = 1,825 Minutes CRAZY, right? That is a lot of time! But what I didn't even mention, is that it wouldn't probably even stay at 5 minutes. It would grow to 15, then 30, then eventually an hour. Not only does it compile, but it's exponential because you create momentum. So if you're trying to get started but can't, or you do it once then stop, this is your weapon. It's not that you can't do it, it's not that you're a disappointment, it's not that you're not disciplined enough; it only that you just have to commit to 5 minutes. So what is your 5-minute task for the rest of the week? Let me know below and know that I will check up on you. #motivation #inspiration #mindset #inspire #lifestyle #growthmindset #noexcuses #purposedriven #growyourmind #bemore #changeyourmindset #vanouverlifestyle #vancouverpersonaltraining #healthychoices #healthylife See more

I can’t stress this enough Why? Because this is the one thing that will truly help you move forward.... Remember when you just started? It was hard sure, but you kept going, kept seeing change, and got to a better place or even more so your goal. Now, you’re maybe stuck going through the same never ending loop of trying, moving closer to your goal a bit, and then stopping Then repeating that cycle again. It’s not that it’s harder this time. Physically, it’s the same thing. Emotionally though, you are setting yourself all these barriers. Setting these expectations of who you should be, because you were that person before. Being too hard on yourself. You know... all the nasty, negative, self talk But what you don’t realize, is that the first and most important thing you need to get past is being willing to learn again. Due to your past experiences, you feel as though you know it all. And THIS is hurting you. Yes you might know, I know it too. But what helped me? Being willing to RELEARN it. Seriously. Being open, learning what I knew all over again, therefor taking baby steps again, got me back up. So if you’re having trouble getting back up, it’s not that something is wrong, or that you suck, or that you’re not capable. Be easier to yourself, and then be open to learn. Are you open to learn? Drop a if you are! ALSO if this is something you want to learn more about, and how to apply this skill, go check out @noriathletics newest blog! You just can’t get there You workout one day and set yourself that goal that you’ll workout 3x that week, but it doesn’t happen. It actually doesn’t happen another 2 weeks.... Swipe to learn what’s happening You find yourself eating well one day. In fact tracking your food in an app even because you told yourself you’d do it from now on. That day passes, and you don’t touch the app again for another month. Why is this happening? I want to give you a little breather and say that it’s not because you are not disciplined. It’s not lack of willpower. It actually goes psychologically even deeper than that. But I’ve done it before, I kept telling myself that too. But are you in different circumstances now? Maybe you work from home? Maybe your goal has changed? Maybe you have more to manage or maybe less? Regardless, you are not the same person you were before. So you can’t just hit the play button again. You have to pause, rewind a bit, then hit play. You have to relearn, what you know already. You have to take small steps. You have to forgive yourself. You have to reward even the smallest step forward. You CAN do it. It’s just about HOW you do it. So hit that button if this spoke to you. I struggled to get my workouts in just a month ago I kept feeling tired, and I felt as though I just didn’t have time to give. Commuting to two gyms, one in Burnaby and one in Kitsilano.... Changing, and working on things behind the scene. My side hustle. Cooking, and cleaning. I just felt like I couldn’t workout. But then I hit PAUSE Well, I’ve been busy before. And I know other boss women out there, who are running around everywhere for their business but still have time to pause a few minutes to get in a workout. So why can’t I? I realized that it was two things: 1 I was being super hard on myself. I kept feeling like I needed to workout as intensively as I used to before, and the fact that I wasn’t, was making me feel defeated. I had to be okay with restarting 2 I felt like I didn’t have the time, but the reality was that I wasn’t finding the time. We find the time for what we want to make time for. So the best way to start? I set aside just 15 mins. Committed to 15 mins and gave me the option and freedom to go over if I wanted. And guess what happened? I did the 15 mins, and MORE. As Dev Gadhvi said, it’s 80% mindset and only 20% skills When we experience these blocks, it’s not that we physically don’t have the ability to, it’s that our mind is presenting these roadblocks. Once you realize this, watch, your story will be very similar to mine Comment below if you agree it is mostly the mindset. PS: My schedule has opened 2 spots in both Burnaby and Kitsilano for private coaching. If the mindset is something you need help being coached throughout, I got you, but before anything, I want us to both be sure we would work well together. So message me and let’s set up a free consultation, to go over your goal, get to know each other more, and for you to minimum leave with some action steps #motivation #fitfam #training #lifestyle #getfit #exercise #fitnessmotivation #healthychoices #healthylifestyle #wellness #healthyliving #yvr #vancitybuzz #dailyhivevan #vancouverpersonaltraining See more

HEALTH TIP No. 75 WRITE OUT A WEEK’S PLAN FOR YOUR MEALS BEFORE SHOPPING I used to go into a grocery store and be overwhelmed. One I left it last moment. ... And two, I had no idea what to really buy. I would buy the wrong things, buy too much, or too little. And I wasn’t really thinking ahead. This would then cost me more time, having to figure out some sort of meals with whatever I have left. I would end up making poor decisions, or mostly eat out. Noticing this, I realized that this was happening because I lacked a plan for my meals I was basically doing a free for all, and just HOPING I’d get lucky that week. Then I said, I can’t hope no more. I need to KNOW. I need to be PREPARED. Planning out what I’d eat the whole week not only helped my grocery shopping, but it saved me time, saved me stress, and made me feel better overall. I didn’t make mistakes, and I was comfortably allowing myself the freedom I needed, while also structuring my nutrition enough so I wouldn’t feel lost. So let me ask you this; are you going to keep hoping things will fall in place, or are you going to be prepared? Give this a if you’re going to go prepared next time. PS: My schedule has opened up a bit for both Burnaby and Kitsilano. If this post and my other posts speak to you at all, come meet with me in person for a free consult to see for yourself whether I can help you more. If you’re interested, simply send me a DM #mealplanning #nutritiontips #healthtips #vancouverhealth #planning #mealprep #healthgoals #healthyhabits #healthyliving #vancouver #healthyeating #flexiblenutrition

Give me if you agree! How often do you catch yourself feeling stuck? Going to the gym but not feeling different.... Or maybe you’re stuck trying to get to the gym again. You’re so focused on your goal, that you neglect to see the little changes along the way. So maybe you’re not going to the gym, but what other changes have you made? Trying to go to sleep earlier. Developing that morning routine slowly. Adding in more vegetables to your nutrition. THOSE ALL COUNT I want to quickly remind you, of how important baby steps are. How the baby steps are the ones moving you forward. The baby steps create momentum and create bigger steps. Keep up with those baby steps, even though that goal might seem far away. Trust me, it’s getting better and better every day #motivation #quoteoftheday #loveyourself #positivity #motivational #success #bodypositive #healthy #lifestyle #training #fitnessmotivation #healthychoices #inspiration #yvr #vancity #vancitybuzz See more

Waiting won't help you build up the confidence... Confidence comes from actions. But how do we act when we aren't confident in the actions we take... Would you believe me if I told you that I was not confident two months ago? Seriously! However, I can proudly say that this past month I have been more confident than I had been for a while. I realized my confidence was coming from not being consistent It actually had NOTHING to do with the way my body looked, but whether my actions were lined up with what I wanted to achieve. Working hard one day, and then letting go compltely the next week. Eating well one week, then not eating well the other week. Those actions were not serving me, and were making my confidence go down. So what changed? The hugest thing that has helped me was setting small goals. That big goal is intimidating and it only gives us a rough sense of direction. With the smaller goals, we know what actions we need to take THIS month, what actions we should focus on NEXT month, and so on. The other thing that has helped me was rewarding myself, and recognizing ALL my wins. I can't say enough that because of social media, pressure from family and friends, we compare ourselves to others all the time. We have a win but then we see others, and deem our wins as miniscule. But EVERY win counts, and that's what will keep you going. Lastly, sharing my story was huge. Being open with you, sharing when I get my workouts in, and sharing that I've struggled. You can share your story on social media, or with friends, or even family. Sharing can let you get an extra perspective, but also allows you to share your wins, that we were taught to keep to ourselves. So with that being said, what is something you will focus on next week? Share below #motivation #inspiration #love #selflove #fitness #loveyourself #goals #success #empower #healthy #selfesteem #empowerment #happiness #confidence #perspective #vancouverpersonaltraining See more

HEALTH TIP No. 73: Have a workout buddy I get it, getting to the gym alone can sometimes just feel... well for lack of a better word, bleh It’s the same routine and can be totally not exiting.... On top of that, it can even be intimidating. So do we just stop and say it’s not for us? Do we avoid it? That’s where having a workout buddy comes in. Be it a friend you being too join you on a workout, your partner in crime, a family member, or even someone you met during a workout class. The beauty of it, you both support one another. When you don’t feel like doing anything, they come in to support you and get you going. And same as the other way around If you feel like you don’t know anyone at the moment, take the opportunity to get to know someone during a class, Or reach out through social media - even just following someone on social media that inspires you. And if you need more guidance, more help, and feel that you need more support, then that’s where a coach comes in If you’re looking for a coach then this is your chance! My Burnaby spots are filled, and I’m looking for 2 more people to join me at Kitsilano to allow me to help them build up their healthy habits and confidence. If that’s you, send me a DM before those spots get filled #motivation #fitfam #fitspo #health #training #lifestyle #getfit #exercise #train #fitnessmotivation #instahealth #coaching #success #personaltrainer #workout #girlboss #ladyboss #trainer #vancouverfitness See more

Yes, it sucks when your schedule gets booked in... When you make plans to get that workout in, but life happens and you can’t get that workout in Then you wishes to have eaten better throughout the week, but somehow by the end of the week you end up wondering...... How did I end up eating everything but what I wanted And slowly those things add up, and end up making you feel as you lack that control. But you do. You have the ability to pause. You have the ability to ask the right questions, instead of just why? You have the ability to reach out to a family member, friend, or someone else to keep you accountable. Our decisions are still our decisions, and that is in your control. Instead of saying you can’t fix it, can’t do it, stop and look at where you can’t make the smallest change. This is your time to grow, not to stop. Take control today. Leave a if you are in control. #mindset #control #decisions #positive #positivity #workoutmotivation #fitnessmotivation #fitness #vancouverfitness #personaltrainer #nutritiontips #vancouverblog See more
