Diversity in your rub selection is crucial to making a variety of meals, all year long. When we were creating our all purpose rub(Rub Down 101) we had one thing in mind. Something that you can use for any kind of meal. Here we showcase a couple meal ideas that we love to cook at home. We absolutely love making sauces, pestos, all sorts of things from scratch. Here we are showcasing our home made buffalo alfredo chicken pasta and our home made pizza roll. Both utilizing our ...all purpose rub! This is a staple in our house and it should be in your cupboard front and center. From veggies to pasta, from burgers to steak. We can not find a meal this does not pair beautifully with. #pasta #herbs #spices #alfredo #bbq #culinary #supportlocal #cooking #homemade #pizza #italian #mickeyjays #smokers #Alberta #traeger #pitboss #lousiannagrills #masterbuilt #reddeer #edmonton #GrandePrairie #sylvanlake #fortmcmurray See more

Chicken Burgers. Simple yet delicious. Making chicken burgers can be made very easy at home! We made these in a few simple steps! Step 1) Pull out as many chicken breast as you want for burgers. Generally one breast per burger. Step 2) Take your breast put them on a cutting board with some plastic wrap on top of them and lightly beat the meat until desired size and form. We like ours to be a little thick Step 3) Grab a bowl and a plate. The plate will be used for breading... and the bowl will be used for eggs(binder) Step 4) Take your favorite rub. For these burgers we used Triple C's Cajun (Found here) https://mickey-jays.ca//spice-col/products/triple-cs-cajun We combined about 4 table spoons worth of rub in the bredding to give it some nice flavor. Step 5) Dry off the chicken, this will help bind the breading to the meat. Step 6) Take the meat dip it into the eggs, cover both sides then dip it into the breading and get a SOLID coating on the meat. Step 7) Take a pan and put a decent amount of oil in the pan. You will want enough oil to go about a quarter of the way up the chicken. Step 8) Once you have the oil heated up lay the meat down in the pan and wait about 3-5 min for each side to become nice and golden brown. Depending on the thickness you may need to wait a little longer for the meat to be fully cooked. Step 9) Once your meat has reached safe temperature for chicken(165 degrees Fahrenheit ) Then you can always add cheese and let it melt. The rest is up to you! You can grab your buns, your favorite condiments and make the best burgers right in your home! See more
