To all of our wonderful patients: Due to the recent confirmation of the first community transmission of Covid-19 the Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia has mandated that ALL dental procedures including emergency dental care not be conducted at any non-designated emergency dental clinics after today March 31/2020. Emergency dental clinics to date include:... -Faculty of Dentistry Dalhousie University -IWK -Victoria General Department of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery We will still be at our office Monday-Saturday between 9am-1pm to take emergency calls and refer you to the proper designated emergency clinic if deemed necessary. Good Morning, our office is still open for emergency patients only. Our Patients & Staff are our #1 priority right now. Please see attached letter if you are wondering what a dental emergency is. Attached is the protocol that has been sent from the provincial dental board. Our staff will be screening all calls and triaging patients over the phone. Lets all work together to flatten the curve. Take care and stay safe

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our provincial dental board has advised that ALL non-essential and elective dental services be suspended. Thus, over the next two weeks we will only be open to see patients requiring emergency care (severe pain, swelling, bleeding). We will re-evaluate on Mar 30th. Please call ahead as our hours of operation will likely change.

Mic Mac Dental Centre will be closed today for Remembrance Day. We will reopen for regular business hours tomorrow November 12th.

Just a friendly reminder that Mic Mac Dental Centre will be closed Monday October 14th for Thanksgiving. We will reopen Regular hours Tuesday October 15th.

April 24th is Administrative Professionals' Day! We have some pretty amazing Receptionists here at MMDC. Dr. Erick Garand graduated as a Mechanical Engineer in 1988 from Université Laval. In 2000 He graduated with his Doctor of Medical Dentistry also from Université Laval. In 2009 he finished a post graduate program on Oral and Maxillofacial surgery in Houston Texas. He retired from The Canadian Forces after serving for 28 years and In 2013 he joined Micmac Dental Centre. What made Dr. Garand decide to pursue a career in Dentistry? Pure curiosity at first, but he quickly grew ...to realize that dentistry was a combination of Intellectual, hands on, artistic skills, along with social interaction all of which he really enjoys. Dr. Garand's main practice interests include the extraction of wisdom teeth, placement of dental implants, Bone grafting, Biopsies, and sedation dentistry. When he isnt in the office he enjoys being Green energy friendly, completing home renovations, and spending time with his wife and 3 young beautiful children.

Dr. Gregg Branscombe graduated from Dalhousie University in 1990. And has been with Micmac Dental Centre for 27 Years! What made Gregg decide to pursue a career in dentistry? The opportunity to transform the lives and smiles of his patients while working independently. Gregg is a very social person who enjoys interacting with his patients.... Did you know that aside from standard dentistry Dr. Branscombe also offers Orthodontic services; Snoring and Sleep Apnea Oral Appliances and Implant & Cosmetic services. Aside from making perfect smiles Gregg likes to spend his down time bicycling, golfing and travelling to different parts of the world.
