In August Mid-City Construction Management celebrated our 40th year in business with a cake, a few speeches and a wide open parking lot to keep our distance for those who attended. Rod Stawnychy and his wife Marian started Mid-City in 1980 with a truck, a trailer and a track loader focusing solely on excavation work. Mid-City has grown now to 230 employees specializing in excavation, underground utilities, paving and most recently concrete. Mid-City accredits much of its succ...ess from being a family run business, Rod's son Daniel is an integral part of the business as the COO and has been working for the company since he was old enough to do so.
