Middleton Youth 02.12.2020

Okay Middleton Youth! We have an activity for you... We were gifted some gingerbread houses that we could not use during March Break Camp because as you know c...amp was cancelled SO we thought we would re-purpose them as birdhouses for the birds to snack on. Our challenge to you is for you to decorate a gingerbread house to look as much like your house as you can using things like peanut butter, shortening, bird seed, cereal. When you are done decorating your bird house, show us a picture under this post and then you can put it outside for the birds. If you wish to participate - you must abide by social distancing rules while coming to pick up your kit. There are a limited supply so it will be first come first served. We have approximately 40 kits. We will be at Rotary Park by the Pavilion on Tuesday, June 2nd between 1PM and 3PM with the kits which will include the gingerbread, bird seed and some peanut butter or shortening and an assortment of some cereals. Supplies are limited but you can add your own flare. Just please be mindful of what birds can eat. (no white bread, no sugar just seeds, grains etc.). Here is our attempt at making Town Hall from Cheerios, peanut butter, oatmeal and, shortening and birdseed. These were things we had at the office that we could use on a birdhouse. Thank you to Heather's Independent Grocer for the donation of the Gingerbread Houses.

Now that the nicer weather is arriving and social isolation is loosening up, we like to remind you of the helmet law. #safetyinsport #protectyourbrain #middletonstrong
