Hi everyone! Just a reminder if your child is interested in fall/spring training and or select tryouts please let us know by filling out the survey below - survey ends Sunday Aug 23. Thanks!
Long time no see! We hope our MPBA parents and players are well and enjoying their summer. Your executive is already planning and preparing for the 2021 season. Although the majority of preparation occurs through the winter, the Select team tryouts are time sensitive. Select divisions are a slightly higher caliber of skills and include regular practices and weekend games. Indoor practices typically begin in February/March. We have created a short survey to gauge interest in September or March training sessions in preparation for possible Select team tryouts. If training and/or tryouts were to move forward we would follow all safety protocols provided by Baseball Ontario. To participate in the survey please click here https://us4.list-manage.com/survey
Dear parents and players; coaches and volunteers; It is with a heavy heart, and after careful consideration with York Simcoe Baseball Association; South Simcoe Minor Baseball Association and our executive, we announce that the 2020 baseball season is officially cancelled. This decision did not come lightly and several factors influenced our decision making:... - Difficulty implementing the Return to Sport protocol provided by Baseball Ontario. - Inability to ensure the health and well-being of our players; coaches and volunteers. - Game scheduling challenges, as several organizations in our areas have already cancelled. - The game would be altered, and therefore we risk players not enjoying the year and with the younger ones, discouraging them from wanting to play. - Many parents already have shared their concerns and reluctance to allow their child to play. We thank you all for your patience and understanding. You will hear from us soon, we expect next week, regarding refund details and options. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact a member of the executive. https://midlandbaseball.ca/Staff/1003/ Sincerely, MPBA Executive
