It's with heavy hearts that for now due to the new regulations put in place, we are going to close our barn to boarders only. We wish you all the most wonderful Christmas. I know it will be a different Christmas, but it can still be amazing. My absolute favourite Christmas was the year our whole family got chicken pox. No one was allowed to visit. We didn't have a big extravagant meal, we just had amazing family time, playing games, going snow mobiling, sledding etc. We ...made the best of it. This year we get to stay close to home, I ordered some diy Christmas decoration kits and we're looking forward to putting them together. It has been our tradition to make our own and when people come to visit we give them a decoration off our tree. Last year our tree was pretty bare as we had given away most of them. So this year we'll replenish to have more to give away. Make a new tradition this Christmas ! Love you all! See more

Yesterday was a big day at the vets. Had a couple more cats spayed and neutered and 2 horses in for a dental and one in for an exam. Hades is a new little Arabian we were given this summer, that has always presented with a running nose and discharge from his eye. We brought him in a couple months ago and she tried something with him, but it didn't clear up, so this time he got a nasal rinse and x-rays showing some confusing things, so they're being sent off to see what's ...up. Looking forward to getting him fixed up. Murphy is also one of our new ones. Just weren't overly happy with his weight and wanted any dental problems dealt with. He has some cavities, possibly from being fed sugar cubes in the past, or something like that, but they'll grow out and his teeth were relatively good. And last but not least, the last x-rays are of Bluey. Since she was young, she's always had a pocket of food that we have to constantly clean out. I took her to a vet years ago to see what was going on and was told it would be a $10,000 surgery that was life threatening, or I could just continue cleaning it out. I opted for cleaning it. Fast forward technology and an amazing vet, her teeth are very abnormal but we might be able to fix it by pulling a tooth. But x-rays are being sent to some special dentists to plan the best course of action for her. I swear I must love bringing horses that stump the vet! See more

This is Murphy (formally Twix but I got out-voted). He was pretty spooky and buddy sour when we got him, Shauna's been riding him pretty much since we got him and I swear he's a completely different horse. Great job with him in the challenge Hannah! You two did amazing! Still a couple things to work through, but so proud!

We had an amazing day yesterday with the Chow Cowboy Challenge Benefit! Thanks to everyone for your help and support! There will be lots more pictures to follow. Nicole did a great job of running around taking pictures all day! These events can't happen without help, thank you Ray for a lot of the obstacles and judging, thank you Nicole for all the pictures, thank you to all my barn family for all the work, cleaning and painting, my family who helped get all the food prepared and my dad for allowing the use of his buildings and getting the furnace running to warm people up on the morning! We have a few more things to do this week and then Friday we're hoping to present the Chows with the cheques for Gracie, the Service dog for Molly
