Calling all local Physiotherapists, Massage, Chiros, etc... Polarettes is hosting a free information session with Two-Time Olympic Gymnast, Kate Richardson on Injury Prevention for gymnastics. A huge thank you goes out to Lotteries Yukon for their contribution to our Polarettes Equipment Replacement Project! We wouldn't be able to host this amazing event without them; The equipment will be set up at the event and training camp and then will remain in Whitehorse for all Yukon community members to enjoy!

A huge thank you to the Yukon Governments CDF program for helping fund new equipment for the Polarettes Gymnastics facility! She also is a two time Olympic Gymnast for team Canada (2012 & 2016). Brittany Rogers made her Olympic debut at London 2012 where she helped Canada reach the team final for the first time, matching its best ever result with a fifth place finish. "After the 2012 Olympic Games, Rogers began competing for the University of Georgia. As a senior in 2016 she scored Georgia’s first perfect 10 since 2010, doing so on vault, and became the NCAA champion on uneven bars. A five-time First Team All-American, Rogers still wanted to compete at another Olympic Games so she resumed elite training during the 2015 NCAA season. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Thanks to Carstar Yukon, Canadian National Team Member Kevin Lytwyn will be joining us for the Midnight Sun Gymnastics Invitational! Kevin will be a special guest at our training camps as well as putting on some special men's gymnastics clinics for local boys at Polarettes on June 22nd and 23rd.... More about Kevin: "Kevin Lytwyn came close to making his Olympic debut at London 2012 but was instead the alternate for Canada’s lone men’s artistic gymnastics berth. Now a five-time world championship team member, Lytwyn won three medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, including silver on rings and bronze on horizontal bar as well as helping Canada win bronze in the team event. Lytwyn had his first exposure to multi-sport competition at the 2007 Canada Games where he reached the podium in six of his seven events, including a pair of gold medals in vault and floor exercise." - Information from gymcan.org
