On behalf of MIDWEST KARATE MOVEMENT ARTS CENTRE I would like to thank everyone that stuck with us through these trying times! The students that continued to support and train at the Dojo and on zoom, the parents that put their trust in us to look after their families while at the Dojo and those who helped us with the extra sanitation duties. Also, to all the Karate and Jiujitsu instructors and their assistants and the board of directors that give selflessly to run the dojo and help out wherever and whenever needed! To those that felt they had to confine themselves during this time, I look forward to seeing you back in the Dojo when you are ready to get back on the floor and mats!! Merry Christmas to those that celebrate and Happy Holidays to you all and a New Year of Good Health, Wealth and Prosperity!

Please Note the following schedule for the Holiday period for 4-6, 7-12 Youth and Adult Karate: December 24th, 25th and 26th - Closed December 28th, 29th, 30th, 31st - No Noon Hour classes, Evening Classes ONLINE ONLY (This applies to all age groups Karate - Youth Online classes for the split days will be Monday Beginner - 6PM and Wednesday Advanced - 7PM) If you plan on training these days and currently don't have the zoom codes please refer to the previous restriction email...s containing the codes, or contact Kelly, or the dojo via email. Nishiyama Sensei, always an inspiration in my continued search and understanding in the way of Karate! His concepts and teaching of principles always reached deeper and deeper into the Art of Karate-do, to the point where the most advanced Karate-ka was reminded that they were always a beginner! ELVES NEEDED! Hey everyone, as we all know this has been a rough year for all of us. Especially the older generations who are at more risk and as a result likel...y will not be able to have visitors this Christmas. Preston Park II Retirement Residence has made a public call for letters and/or Christmas cards to deliver to the seniors in their care. We would love to have our members (ESPECIALLY the kids) join in spreading Christmas cheer by dropping off a letter or a card to MWK. We will collect them until Thursday, December 17th and deliver them to the residence. If you would prefer to mail one yourself, please DM us for the address! Thank you all! See more
