Relocated a squirrel yesterday. I hope he finds the peanuts later when he calms down.

A little footage of a raccoon eating the cat food I left out for a skunk. It was quite a busy yard for nighttime wildlife.

The raccoon still hasn't come back around the house again. I guess he read the sign on my work truck and figured out who he was messing with. Or as the weather got nicer his other food sources became more abundant and he didn't need my free eggs. Which do you think it is?

There was a wasp nest near the beehives at Holbrow Farms. I'm not one to let yellowjackets steal from my family's bees so I took care of them this morning. There's something hypnotic about watching wasps come and go from their nest. I could watch it all day

Had another exposed nest of Western yellowjackets the other day. This one wasn't quite as far along in its development as it had far more larvae and far less pupae than the last nest.

WASP SEASON IS STARTING. We had our first wasp job of the season. Western yellowjackets usually don't have exposed nests like this one so I took it down to look for the queen. I didn't find her but there was lots of larvae and pupae as well as a bunch of very young workers. It isn't everyday you get to see inside a nest like this

I woke this little guy up while inspecting an attic and then he came out for a drink. I'm bringing the bat a bat house on my next visit so he doesn't have to live in an attic.

There was a carpenter ant flight in Mill Lake Park in Abbotsford today. I found this pregnant queen just off the path. You can see her wing scars on her shoulders. Ants only fly once in their life. The males die and then the queen chews her wings off and finds a place to nest. Hence the scars. It's a good time of year to treat your house.
