Desjardins Agent M...ike Francis presented cheques for $10,000 to Lilly Thai Cuisine and Uncorked on Main. The funds are part of Desjardins Insurance’s GoodSpark Small Business Grants Program and will be used to help the local businesses overcome challenges posed by the pandemic. . I was honoured to help select Uncorked on Main and Lilly Thai Cuisine to each receive a $10,000 grant, said Desjardins Agent Mike Francis. Small businesses play a vital role in the economic health and vibrancy of our local communities. Helping small businesses like Lilly Thai and Uncorked to survive and get back on their feet will in turn help our communities recover from the pandemic. The 75 small businesses supported by the GoodSpark program represent a cross section of industries and include restaurants, retail outlets, cleaning firms, dance studios, dry cleaners, hair and nail salons, floral shops, and sports-related firms, among others. The businesses were nominated by Desjardins Insurance Agents in Ontario, Alberta and New Brunswick and by Desjardins Financial Security Independent Network (DFSIN) Advisors across the country.
