Well it's been a while and I hope you are all doing as well as one can during a pandemic, but like everyone else "The Valley Maker" is adapting to the new normal and trying to get back on track. Not many craft shows as of late, but I do have quite a few local regulars now, and you can see many of my creations at O'kennys, our awesome local distillery. For now though, I'm going to start by again posting all the new and cool engraved stuff that I've been starting to make ag...ain. Mike the Valley Maker, while stuck at home, I'm trying out some designs for PPE to help during COVID-19... Medical face shields and personal door opener/elevator button pusher. I'm still trying to improve them and test different possible materials. Let me know if anyone has any ideas on improving these, and/or what companies I could partner with for material donations... Special custom request for Canadians coasters...No Problem. But Mike from The Valley Maker doesn't due "ordinary" anything....So here it is! A Montreal Canadiens Laser Engraved wood coaster. And if you check out the close-up you will see that there are scratches in the ice background that you can literally feel. Definitely MY favorite project so far...what does everyone think? And yes, tell all your hockey fan friends that I can easily do the same effect with any team they like.

Any Dungeons & Dragon fans out there? If so you might recognize this as Tiamat the five headed dragon... I'm making this as part of the artwork to go on a custom DM screen. New Laser Engraved Baby Yoda!! All right people...what should I put this cute little guy on?? Coasters, earings, backpack tag, keychain... Any other ideas? And..I'm working on a couple different Mandalorian graphics, so those will be ready to put on stuff soon too. Stay tuned

New Animal Line Art and Laser City Maps from The Valley Maker!! What do you guys think ? @ Foresters Falls

One step closer to making the perfect laser cut city map... This is my practice subject... Pembroke of course ... And once I get it up to my high standards The Valley Maker will be able to custom cut any map you like!! What does everyone think about this attempt? As always, I'm wide open to criticism if it helps improve the products I make for people.

"The Valley Maker" does almost any kind of special orders...like these I did for a local customer here in the Valley... Someone is gonna have some pretty stylin' sports stools at their home bar pretty soon.

So "The Valley Maker" is now signed up for two shows coming up... The first is "Girls Night Out in Barry's Bay" on Feb. 15th....and now the second is the Deep River Geek Market on May 30th. So I dove into the geek files in my brain and decided on this as my first new product that will hopefully sell at the Geek Market... Anyone wanna guess what these pieces are going to be? . Tell you what, if you've read this far then your truely following my progress and helping s...pread the word about my Laser Engraving and crafts business here in the Renfrew Valley... Tree of Life wall hangings... Two different ones actually. They turned out nice so I'm making at least two more to sell at my next craft sale . I think people might like this design on some coaters too... Any thoughts? @ Foresters Falls

First crack at a new hockey jersey hanger...the next version will be engraved a lot darker, AND I'm pretty sure I can incorporate a hidden compartment to slip in one of those gel car Air fresheners... I'm hoping it will help fight that sweaty hockey player smell that builds up inside the jersey bag. I'll keep everyone posted when the Hockey Hanger Mark 2 comes out @ Foresters Falls

Wow...now I'm glad I bought so many clamps when they went on special...you can never have enough clamps when gluing a project together, and this one has so many fiddly bits it took almost every clamp I have...lol. One step closer to a huge Tree of Life wall hanging

Working hard on the weekend, but when it's crafting and making with lasers it never feels like work . Working on a special customer order...largest Tree of Life wall hanging I've made so far, so big it had to be lasered in sections! But it's looking awesome so far . New mini wooden laser cut box with a live cut rolling lid ... Almost done...and I can make these almost any size!

My first shadow box art project... Multiple laser cut layers of colored card stock...and an hour of seperating all the little pieces lol. But I think it turned out ok .
