"How do you know when all the cavity has been removed?" is a question I often get from my patients. I use a caries indicator dye to help me determine my caries removal endpoint. If the tooth stains pink, there's still more caries to remove! Swipe left to see what it looks like...... www.bybelezer.com www.cliniquedac.com @ Clinique Dac

X-rays are an indispensable tool for dentists to diagnose cavities between the teeth... ... But they don't always give you the whole picture! In this case, the x-rays don't show decay on the second upper right premolar, but the clinical situation clearly diagnosed the presence of tooth decay. This was treated with a direct resin composite restoration.... @cliniquedac #diagnosingdecay #dentalxrays #takesatrainedeye #directresinrestoration www.bybelezer.com www.cliniquedac.com @ Clinique Dac

Implants are a great option when replacing a missing tooth! In this case we were able to provide the patient with a naturally feeling screw-retained implant crown, thanks to the perfect placement of the implant by @jeremywerbitt of @periomontreal. #dentalimplants #cerecprimescan www.bybelezer.com... www.cliniquedac.com See more

One of the most difficult tasks in dentistry is matching the color of a single front crown to the adjacent teeth. Having skilled on site lab technicians help immensely! When this patient came in today with a broken front tooth and needed something done quickly, we were able to turn the standard unprocessed porcelain crown (photo 1) into a beautiful, durable, custom, life-like restoration (photo 2) thanks to the help of Laboratoire ABELDENT. #cerecprimescan #empresscrown #samedaycrown @ Clinique Dac www.bybelezer.com

Broken tooth! What should you do? Same day crown is the best solution to restore the strength of your tooth and save you time at the dentist. Plus, it's minimally invasive, conserves maximum tooth structure, lasts a long time, and it looks and feels natural! #cerecprimescan #emaxporcelain #onlaycrown @cliniquedac

Good day to all! We hope everyone is managing to maintain their health and their spirits high. We just wanted reach out to our patients and to our team in this ...time of ongoing crisis to let you know we are doing everything within our (temporarily reduced) power to be there for you, and to continue to serve your dental needs. We understand it is a difficult, and sometimes frustrating period for everyone, dentists included. We are anguished over not being able to open our clinic doors and effectively help our patients in ways that we could easily have done pre-COVID-19 times. Despite these limitations, we are still there for you - our valued patients and friends. If you do have dental issues, please do not hesitate to contact us through our answering service, SteriCycle, at 514-981-5444, advise them which dentist you need to reach, and they’ll find us. (Drs Dac Nguyen/ Michèle Martin / Imad Sallaleh / Michael Bybelezer are all available). We are happy to (and regularly) spend our day answering emergency calls, reviewing patient files through our online remote network, advising and reassuring patients, and often prescribing medications to relieve pain and discomfort. The Order of Dentists of Quebec and Public Health have asked us to only see patients presenting with severe pain, severe infection, severe swelling, or severe trauma that can not be treated remotely with medications. In the rare instances we need to physically see our patients, we have modified our usual protocols and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to ensure the lowest possible chance of coronavirus transmission, which adheres to (and often surpasses) current guidelines and recommendations. Unfortunately, we are very limited in the amount of available PPE. That’s why we have to be very selective of when we will see a patient in the clinic, and reserve those PPE for only the most severe circumstances. Please understand that we do not intend to minimize or dismiss anybody's concerns or pain, and we will address them to the highest level permitted to us at this time, in order to prevent community transmission of the COVID-19 virus, and allow us all to return to regular activities as soon as possible. We thank you for your understanding in this regard. If there is a silver lining, we have been fortunate to spend a good part of our remaining time reading and researching, attending online continuing education, exchanging ideas with colleagues to best prepare ourselves for our return to work and to ensure the highest safety standards for our patients and for our team members. We will update you all as soon we finalize the protocols. Hope to reconnect with you soon. Stay safe, Stay healthy.

Periodontitis: This chronic destructive inflammatory disease of the gums and bone around teeth has several causes, with inadequate oral hygiene being the most common. Smoking, diabetes, and genetics are some others. The primary instigator is bacteria - plaque and calculus which remains stuck under the gums and between the teeth. Research has linked gum disease to other inflammatory conditions such as cardiovascular disease, arthritis, and more recently Alzheimer's. You may forget to change out of your pajamas, but don't forget to brush your teeth! www.bybelezer.com #periodontitis #gumwars #brushyourteeth #cleanbetweenyourteeth #cliniquedac
