Our language connects us to everything. In this video, Ursula Johnson, Cultural Interpreter at Kejimkujik National Park, finds a deeper truth in the written la...nguage of her people, the Mi’kmaq people, that was taught to her by her great-grandfather. The Committee would like to acknowledge funding from Support4Culture and the Province of Nova Scotia for the creation of this video. Netukulimk - Family - Culture - Education - Sacred knowledge - Tradition - History - Heritage Mi'kmaq History Month means many things to many people. It's an op...portunity for us to share who we are and who we have always been. We recognize October as Mi'kmaq History Month but Mi'kmaq history, culture, tradition and language can and should be celebrated all year long. In honour of Mi'kmaq History Month, the Halifax Public Libraries has put together a number of resources that highlight the beauty of our history and culture. Take a look and celebrate our culture with us! https://www.halifaxpubliclibraries.ca//mikmaw-history-cul/
