It’s NOT worth it! Going to bed at night knowing you’re doing your absolute best and knowing you’re unstoppable because of it? That IS worth it!

INSPIRATIONAL HUMAN HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK Diana Hyad grew up in Florida where she spent her teenage years competing on her high school swim team. At one of her swim meets before her heat, one of her teammates told her to finish that race knowing she couldn’t have done it a fingernail faster. In her autobiography Diana shared that she walked out of that meet knowing she wanted to live the rest of her life that way. Knowing she couldn’t have done better no regrets. She used... this inspiration to later launch herself into marathon swimming which exposed her to swimming in lakes, rivers and oceans. This is when her whole world changed It was within a couple of years she became the first person to swim north to south across Lake Ontario and then at twenty-five she swam around Manhattan. However, Diana did not what to stop at overcoming her goals in her early life. When she was 28 years old she set out to be the first person to swim cage-less from Cuba to Florida. Taking on 8 foot waves and potential shark and jelly fish attacks. Due to winds and currents she eventually ended up too far off course and had to stop. 2 years later she retired from swimming. However, over the next 3 decades she couldn’t get it out of her head that she should try again. So at age 61 she braved 4 more attempts. Finally, in 2013, on her fifth try, Diana swam for 53 hours straight and completed her monstrous goal at age 64. As Diane staggered onto the beach of Florida exhausted she shared the following wisdom: 1. Never Give Up 2. You’re Never Too Old To Chase Your Dreams 3. Sometimes it looks Like A Solitary Sport, But It’s Really A Team This goes to show that what you’re actually capable of is probably far beyond what you can even conceptualize. So do yourself the favour and never EVER put yourself in the box of thinking small.
