A little while ago I found myself googling how to be more punk rock, and after chuckling sadly to myself and noting the amazing amount of irony, I made a note to draw this picture. Here's a basic version of my design process - from doodle to t-shirt with the help of a real thrill seeker. . Every project starts with sketches. A quick doodle in this case, but usually lots more. The key is to keep going after you've run out of ideas, that's when you're really forced to get creative! . Next up is scanning the sketch and importing it into your design software, Illustrator in this case, where it gets vectorised! This is a tedious (fun for people like me) proc...ess that turns it into paths and shapes and makes it clean and easy to work with. . I decided I wanted to put this little guy on a shirt, so I screen printed one myself in my basement. I won't bore you with the details of that complicated process, but now I have a custom shirt I can wear whenever I want and that's pretty awesome. @ Miles Away See more

Sometimes you need a little reminder to think about your role in everything we're doing here. We made it all the way to the top of the food chain, and I believe that we have a responsibility to take care of things because we have the most power to do so. . I designed this shirt for a company called behuman that shared this philosophy, and it was a super rewarding project. Coming together with other people to create meaningful things is why I do what I do, and I'm grateful to have skills that allow me to bring ideas to life in this way. . I'm always up for an interesting collaboration, so if you want to make something but aren't sure how, reach out!

#tbt to my first year of college when I was tasked with animating a 30 second commercial for a product of my choosing. . Sometimes total creative freedom can be daunting, but sometimes inspiration strikes and you end up with something you can really be proud of. It was at this point in my life that I realized I was a born storyteller, and that I must never let my creative talents go to waste. . @cocacola in no way commissioned this piece of work, but it is for sale if they need an ad for the Superbowl this year.
