Good afternoon, We hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the blessing of God's great day. Our Lord invites us to his banqueting table, to enjoy the gifts of friendship, community, connection, purpose - and simply the joy of praising our Lord God.... This, and more, can be discovered in the 2nd chapter of John, and the story of the Wedding Feast at Cana. Scripture: John 2:1-11 Sermon: A Taste of God's Abundance May you all know the joy of God's kingdom in your lives now, and in the age to come! Hello dear friends, An "epiphany" can change your whole outlook on life. In fact, it can save your life! Such is God's revelation of Jesus as Beloved Son and Messiah. Join John and the crowd beside the waters of the Jordan River as Jesus is baptised.... Scripture: Luke 3:15-17, 21-22 Sermon: Eureka! You are welcome to share the recording link with others. (it says Jan. 8th but it's really the 9th!) May the grace of God's new year be with you. Christine and William Ball https://drive.google.com//1U-alno-LW0vWQqg4_sYHVmBqI/view

Hello friends and welcome to our recording of today's service. What does it look like for Emmanuel - God with us - to be living among us, and within us? What does this mean in practical terms? The letter to the Colossians 3:12-17 gives us some clues. Scripture - Colossians 3:12-17... Sermon - God moved into the neighbourhood, and crept in beside us. Well, friends, This week we delve into Mary's Song - known by most as the "Magnificat" - as in "my soul magnifies the Lord." Many refer to it as her song of praise - but there is much more to these few verses - what kind of world do you hear Mary proclaiming? Scripture: Luke 139-55... Sermon: Turning the World Right-side up The recording below is on the Zoom Cloud rather than a Google Drive. I hope that you can view it well. If you have trouble, please let me know. You are also welcome to share it with others. Greetings from cold, but sunny Alberta. Advent - we mark this time every year, but what is it for? Chocolates? A treat each day? More shopping or just a countdown to Christmas? OR . . . could it have a larger, more meaningful purpose?... Discover more with: Scripture: Luke 1:68-79 Sermon: Hush! Be at Peace In this service we also celebrate Communion - so have your bread/cracker and juice prepared, along with your home Advent Candle Wreath which you can light along with the one at the church. https://drive.google.com//1ce48iwd5CMXifpAn9CpOpSK44/view

Welcome to the 1st Sunday of Advent, the beginning of a new liturgical year in the church. Advent means "coming," or "appearance" - hinting at how close a person is or an event is about to happen, maybe even here - now! Just as we can look around us and see the signs of the changing seasons, the image of leaves growing on a fig tree acts as a "sign" of the nearness of the Kingdom of God.... I wonder - what are the signs that we may see around us today which indicate that God's kingdom is near - and can be experienced now? Scripture: Luke 21:25-36 Sermon: The Kingdom is Near! You are welcome to share the recording. Christine and William Ball https://drive.google.com//1NbvVuBlGWVzrAzO3FyqftJpkM/view

This final Sunday of the Church Year acknowledges the direction of God's purpose and intent - that all things will come together under Christ. To encourage Christians of his time to hang in there, John uses language which would have been meaningful and understandable to people of that day. God is the start and the finish (or goal) of all things. This is great good news - that we are all brought under the reign of Christ. Dear Friends, You never know what you'll discover in the early stories of the Bible. This week we hear about Naaman, an army commander from Aram, Israel's enemy, and he needs help! You'll also hear about a girl, a wife and servants who take the chance to speak up and share good news. We encourage you to read the whole of chapter 5 of 2 Kings. You may be surprised at what you find out.... Christine and William Ball https://drive.google.com//19gjf6-BDhgUR4StN74wZJZY1Y/view

Hello, one and all, Yesterday, the skies opened up and the parched earth was soaking in the blessing of rain, but today it is just gorgeous with the sunshine. Living in the rain shadow of many mountains to the west of Edmonton, I have really come to appreciate the dependence upon the gift of water. Lack of water will become an increasing challenge for many. Elsewhere, many have too much rain and their lives are swept away.... What does one do when such challenges face us? In our Scripture reading today, Hannah felt parched, bereft, barren. In those days, to be without children, especially a son, women were judged and felt rejected by God and community. What would it be like to finally receive the gift of a son (Samuel) and then give him away, back to the Lord? Enjoy Hannah's wonderful story of faith (1 Samuel 1-2) Christine and William Ball https://drive.google.com//1l9ylSFZFYTBHQJySnOxDAaQwi/view

The blessing of the God of grace be with you. The theme for today comes from the Exodus 32:1-14 reading which relates the story of the Golden Calf. The sermon asks you to consider: What Substitutes for God are we making in our lives as individuals, churches and communities?... Enjoy the worship.
