Coach Kevin Peters: "As a coach, I have learned that improving my athletes physically, although important, has only short-term benefits. Showing them how to use their gifts lasts forever." So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God (1 Cor 10:31, NIV).

I’ve struggled for a long time playing sports as Christian. As Christians, we are to avoid pride and selfish ambition which is usually rampant in the mind of the athlete. As a result of this frame of mind, I would often feel guilty about playing sports or training because everything I did seemed to be for my glory. Here at Millar, I was taught that there is a way to worship God in the way we play. I learned that God is pleased when we play in a way that glorifies Him. Since coming to Millar, I have grown in my passion for sports and the Lord and I am extremely grateful. --Bryce Parrott, 2nd year student

My name is Emily Budd. I just finished my second year at Millar College of the Bible and am planning on returning for a third year. God has used many aspects of... Millar to challenge and grow me in my faith. One of those aspects is the Edge Athletics program. Millar’s athletics program has taught me that I can worship God by doing something I love, such as playing basketball. Everything I say and do on the court can either honor and glorify God or dishonor Him. To play sports in a way that brings glory to God was foreign to me before I came to Millar. I played for myself, and my goal was to make myself look good. When I got to Millar, God patiently started taking away my pride in this area. God is the one who gave me the ability to play sports, so I should give all the praise back to him. Edge Athletics helps me do this by surrounding me with coaches and players who love God and encourage me to play for Him.

Due to the continuing COVID-19 situation, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel our Edge Camps for the summer of 2020. As much as we were looking forward to these weeks, the challenges of hiring staff and planning for the camps during this uncertain time led us to make this decision. A full refund will be issued to anyone who has already paid for their child’s registration. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to hosting camps again during the summer of 2021!
