We have completed the first multi-family BASF Construction North America HP-Series wall system project in Saskatchewan! Interesting to see what was there 14 months ago versus today. The building is very energy-efficient and, combined with Dettson Chinook furnaces, the tenants’ bills will be very low. A further benefit is the comfort level in the suites with no cold, drafty spots. We’ve used this system on custom homes but this was our first multi-family project with these walls.

What goes into building a new home? Planning - lots and lots of planning. Oh - and labour and materials. Did we mention planning?? Smart new home buyers start planning months in advance, approach builders, decide which builder they enjoy working with, then get to work planning with a designer AND the builder to get the new home they want, within their budget. Placing concrete today, only a week late because of the snow storm we had a week ago. Huge benefit of ICF basements is the ability to place concrete when it’s cold out, as the ICF is already insulated, keeping the concrete warm so it can cure. Thanks to City of Prince Albert for blocking a couple of lanes of traffic for us so we can get this done safely. #customhomes #homebuilding #icfconstruction
