So this project took place in a cozy upper of a downtown duplex that when empty was really hard for potential buyers to see which rooms were living and which were for sleep (upper level was basically 4 bedrooms once upon a time). One room was used for the kitchen space and the other 3 I had free reign to decide the best use of space. The rooms were not large. With proper furniture positioning, I was able to create a really cute space and sneak in a little dining area too! ... The modest budget definitely was a challenge, so I got creative and found some nice, gently used pieces and some amazing auction scores! In just a weekend, I was able to source, shop, move and stage this space into something pretty awesome. I give full credit to the strong young men who did all the heavy lifting for about 3/4 of staging day 1 (no way I could've pulled this off without their help) and then I went at the rest by myself. It really shows well and will gain my clients more than my cost in the final sale. Staging really does sell! Don't be afraid to make a small investment for big return.
