On a personal note...did you know that I (Shannon) grew up on a sheep and dairy farm just outside of Smiths Falls? Even though we have chosen not to make sheep (or any livestock) a part of Miller's Bay Farm, at this point... I still have a bit of a 'soft spot' in my heart for them.

FOLKS!!!! You MUST try this recipe. Oh. My. Goodness. The other day, I decided that it was about time to cook up one of those big (well...I chose a more 'medium' one actually...) Blue Hubbard Squash that we have here at the farm. ( I figured that after selling them for 20+ years, it was about time I jumped in and tried one. ) Now, I'm regretting that I waited this long! The 12 - 14 cups of delicately sweet puree that resulted have gone into chicken quesadillas....breakfast oatmeal...dinner casserole...and yes, these 'Pumpkin' biscuits! They were a resounding success...and SO easy to make. Use squash or pumpkin...but we definitely recommend roasting your own over the canned stuff. :) Let us know if you try it!!
