For those in Millhurst (Sakaw) not yet using the bins, this Wednesday is your first collection.
Congratulations Sandi & Sam, our winners of a $25.00 gift card for making a difference in the Millhurst community. Another gift card is still up for grabs so take some time this week to post a picture of yourself cleaning up some litter #millhurstcleanup.
Millhurst is starting to look a little cleaner with the efforts of people in our neighbourhood and 18 kits distributed. You still have time to post a picture cleaning the Millhurst community for a chance to win a $25 Sobeys gift card! #millhurstcleanup
We have two $25 Sobeys gift cards up for grabs. All you have to do is post a picture with #millhurstcleanup of you cleaning up garbage, the bag of garbage or the area you cleaned.
Thanks to Myrna we have a master plan for Sakaw Gardens which will be located behind the skate shack, starting with phase one, hopefully this year. Now is your chance to share your thoughts on this form. https://forms.gle/U5eQXV8UWDcqAmPLA
This seems like an interesting idea for our community? Anyone interested in learning more and attending the even?

Starting Monday, January 18, 2021 COVID-19 restrictions will ease slightly across Alberta - Outdoor social gatherings are allowed with up to 10 people. - Indoor gatherings remain prohibited. All participants who are not part of the same household are still required to physically distance and wear a mask while gathering, when possible. No amendments to the restrictions on group physical activity/sports... Environmental Health AHS advises Community Leagues to continue to follow current public health guidelines: - No hockey games on the ice - No planning of outdoor events or activities
Just a quick reminder of the Rink Rules for the Christmas holidays. We ask that you please respect these rules so we can keep having a safe place to skate and for the enjoyment of all.
This house was one of the recent posts for the Millhurst light contest. Today is the last day to enter the contest for a chance to win 1 of 4 Canadian Tire gift cards. Two will be given a way for best decorated and 2 will be from a draw including all those that have shown a picture on the Meyokuymin & Sakaw Facebook group page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/991248897683008
Rinks are now open with restrictions in place according to AHS guidelines. Outdoor group physical activity must be limited to 10 people or fewer and members of different households must maintain 2 metre distancing at all times. We are still waiting for a final answer on what that looks like having both rinks but for now if you can ensure distance with other cohorts each rinks is a separate outdoor activity. Lights will be set on a timer to go off at 10:00 pm.
It is so great to see so many houses decorated with lights. Here are a few in the neighbourhood, but if you live in Millhurst and would like a chance to win 1 of 4 $50 Canadian Tire Gift Cards please post pictures on out Meyokumin & Sakaw page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/991248897683008
