The newest park in the Town of Paradise was designed by our team of talented designers. The challenging hillside site required a little outside-the-box thinking but we used it to our advantage to capture views of Octagon Pond and carve out new spaces that took advantage of the topography.

We were given a challenging site on this project, the new adult mental health & addictions facility, but after months of working collaboratively with a stellar P3 team, we developed a design solution that captures southern exposure, provides access to city views, nature, and daylight, and integrates with the existing Health Sciences campus. All of these qualities help to create a respectful, welcoming, and healing environment that will serve the people of this province for generations to come. We are extremely proud and thrilled to be a part of this project.

"Walkers spend money, cars pass by." Great quote by Kevin Casey providing the business case for making Water Street more pedestrian friendly. But think also about the other benefits of a more walkable downtown. Vibrant social spaces, stronger sense of place, healthier, more active community, improved pedestrian safety, and the list goes on. As you can tell, we're squarely behind this idea. Would you support the idea of a "Walker Street"? City of St. John's St. John's Board of Trade
