Good evening everyone, Due to Halton being placed in the Red Zone for Covid-19 restrictions, we will be temporarily suspending all Blacksmith Courses and One-On-One Studio Sessions for the remainder of November. Courses will be rescheduled when we are no longer under Red Zone restrictions. Those who have already registered are requested to please check your email for further instruction. We are sorry to have to cancel these events but we feel it is the right thing to do under... the circumstances. Regards, The Milton Historical Society

Today we remember all those who fought and those who died for our freedom. Lest we forget. "And at the going down of the sun, we will remember them."

Today's featured property is 12 Elizabeth Street. It was built in 1849 as a frame home for Elizabeth and John Humphrey who was a carpenter and a farmer. They had purchased the property from John Martin. They raised five children who were all born in Canada. We might assume that Elizabeth Street was named in honour of Mrs. Humphrey.

Feeding the barn raisers The men sitting at this table were one of the last group of local area farmers to help raise (construct) the barn for J. L. Chisholm in 1958, which was farmers helping farmers. The ladies always provided a great variety at meal time. #TakeMeBackMilton
