What you need to know! If your playing in the COVID modified season, you would have received an email from the league with details and a rules and regulations document. Please read to familiarize yourself with what is expected of you. There will be a zero tolerance policy in place. ... We are in the process of uploading teams to the league website. We know we are playing at Lyons, and each team will be playing 2 games per week. What we don’t know is which diamonds at Lyons the town has given us. Until we receive this, we cannot finalize the schedule. Once we have confirmation we will work quickly to get the schedule completed and posted. Get ready to play ball!! After a lot of hard work, our application to run a modified season has been approved by the town. We are aiming to start the season the week of Aug 10th and it will run until October 9th. ... We have been given 2 diamonds at Lyons and each team will be playing 2 games per week. There will be 2 divisions (American and National league), with 4 teams in each division. Unfortunately, due to provincial restrictions, the 2 divisions are not permitted to play each other. We will crown 2 division champs at the end of the season with an abbreviated playoffs. Last night the execs got together and conducted the draft. Teams will be uploaded to the league website by the end of the weekend, along with instructions for payment. We will also be publishing a list of rules that we all must abide by to protect the health of all players. We will have a zero tolerance policy this year for COVID compliant rules. Payment for new players will be due by 5pm this Friday, and absolutely no late payments will be accepted. Payment for new players is to be sent via e-transfer to [email protected] Please include your name in the message of the transfer to ensure your payment is properly matched up to you. For any player currently enrolled in the MMSPL league, we will be using part of your credit from the cancelled 2020 season ($125). This amount will then be paid back as part of your 2021 dues. This is a huge success for our league, and we need everyone’s cooperation to make it a successful year. Thank you to all of the execs that worked hard to make our virtual draft night a huge success. Also thank you to the league for supporting this process. We are definitely in the midst of some weird times. Having over 100 out of the 180 member league take part was pretty amazing. Let’s hope we are playing ball soon.
