Well, sadly we will remain closed for the time being. I know we had hoped to be able to continue services next week but until given further notice we will continue to do our part and will keep our doors closed. If there is anything I have learnt in the past year is you are either planted an Oak tree or a Willow. You either bend and break during a storm or you stand strong. I usually do a bit of a day of reflection on the last day of the year. Honestly I don’t want to reflect anymore on the past I only want to look forward to the future. So bye 2020 you can leave now. May 2021 be a year of hope and prosperity. Happy new year everyone!!!

I am still trying to put into words how to thank my staff, our clients and this incredible community. This week has been so many emotions. I have pulled up to work in the morning and sat in my car staring at my little shop and just cried. I have cried because to me Mimosa is so, so, so much more than just a job it is a place full of laughter, and love, a place where sisters, and mothers, daughters, friends and family come to shared in the celebrations of incredible miles...tones like weddings, grads, retirements and birthdays and babies. Where I have shared vulnerable moments of sadness and tears of sickness and loss. Where I have had the incredible opportunity to be allowed into peoples lives. I am beyond grateful for every single one of those moments and I can’t even begin to express how much love I feel in my heart for every single one of them. They have impressed on my heart more than any of you will know. Where my staff is my family. These girls are superhero’s to me, shoulders and support and have worked tirelessly not just this week but through this entire thing without complaint, sometimes without a bathroom break or meal break. Where they have all taken just a little extra time to sit and listen to what each person has been going through in all Of this. Avengers Assemble. The cards, the gifts, the bottles of wine and treats have been overwhelming this week the tears you have all shared with us and the phone calls and messages you will never ever know how appreciated all of these things are to us and for that we promise to give back even more when we return. Because without everyone of you there wouldn’t be a Mimosa and we are eternally grateful. My wish this holiday season be one of HEALTH and happiness . May this one be one where we all take some time to reflect on more than just the gifts under the tree and truly reflect on the good and kindness that even in these times ( where it has been easier to see the bad) see how much love there can be all around us. Well there you have it! As I’m sure most of if not all of you have heard we are being shut down again. To say I’m devastated would be an understatement. Three months of lost revenue already and now Christmas, our busiest time of year gone. I’m angry, frustrated, sad are just to name a few emotions I am feeling at this point. Not only is this my income, my life savings but this is also my staff, their lives their income. I feel responsibility to these girls. They have been suc...h a source of comfort to me through all of this and have truthfully shown up and worked their asses off everyday since this has all hit and I will be forever grateful for this team of superstars. Thank you to all our loyal clients who have supported us through all of this, for trusting that we are a safe place and that we have done all we can to keep it that way for everyone. With all Of this being said we will be contacting everyone once again who have appointments with us in the coming weeks and will do our best to get everyone in in the next few days. We will be extending our hours and will also be honouring all of the 12 days of Christmas specials till midnight on Saturday on gift cards so that when we are given the green light again to open you will be able to come in and enjoy those services.
