Unfortunate interruption to the puppy perfection! I’ve never wanted to have to post something like this but we have come to a point where it is needed. My staff and I are juggling dozens of fuzzbutts weekly and wearing MANY hats. We’ve put on some pretty happy faces but been subjected to some pretty remarkably rude, snarky behaviour and individual demands which we have done our best to accommodate with kindness but that ship has now sailed. Since the start of the pandemic we ...have remained grateful and have been supportive, understanding and encouraging of others struggling through this messy new world, as the majority of you have been with us. However, some of what we’ve encountered over the last few months will no longer be acceptable, and I want to make that very clear. We will not tolerate anything less than respectful dialogue + treatment from anyone, and if our services or policies do not suit you- there are literally hundreds of other options out there. We are human beings who not only care DEEPLY for every human and canine client, we have lives which revolve around the struggles of COVID-19 just like everyone else. We’re going to make mistakes and we’re not always going to make everyone happy with our decisions (which will be made at our professional discretion for everyone’s safety). If I hear disparaging and slanderous one sided comments about the company we’ve all worked hard to build and grow- you better belieeeeeve that I’ll be standing up for not only myself, but all of us here. Expect that I will strongly stand up to defend my LIVELIHOOD that I am EXTREMELY PROUD OF and good at. Expect that I will defend the hard work that our team puts in to go above and beyond for individual needs in a GROUP environment when they’re the ones being attacked. Expect that sometimes you’re going to be disappointed because we’re not PERFECT but do aim to adhere to the high standards our community has come to expect. Please do not confuse our kindness for weakness, we reserve the right to operate with policies we believe in and that we know work. Someone has a new baby sister! Miss Ellie’s fam welcomed a new baby girl recently, and since Ellie already has experience with her other tiny human... we can only imagine what a great big sister she’s going to be to TWO mini peeps Congrats Ellie and fam! # #mindfulmutts

Oscar has grown out of puppy parties and is now chillin’ with the big kids! What a cuuuuttiiiieeeee! BTW> We’ve only advertised Puppy Parties ONCE on our feed many months ago and it has SOARED in popularity to the point that we haven’t even had time to update our website with changes and adjustments that we’ve made as we’ve as learned and grew and made it even more awesome. We’re gone from one hour and 6 puppies to 4 hours and 16-20 puppies in the rotation, filling up ab...out 2 weeks in advance!!! Thank you for supporting our initiative to give puppies a safe place to socialize with each other with a smart, supervised staff and for trusting us in this process. Friendly reminder... particularly in light of some really wild conversations both online and in person lately. I can’t even begin to list the mistakes we’ve made early on as far as intaking dogs for daycare. But when you know better, you have to do better. We want to make everyone happy and while we’ve made exceptions and prided ourselves on our strong management skills, we are more careful and particular about the dogs we sign up in our group care environments than ever. We ...can’t accept all dogs, and we have to be honest about it when your once playful daycare dog is no longer enjoying themselves in the group. We know this is disappointing, especially when awesome families just want to support us and feel that our values align when it comes to your fuzzbutts... we want to reiterate that just because we don’t accept your dog it doesn’t mean we think there is anything wrong with them. They may have dog friends outside of daycare, or maybe none at all. There are so many factors to consider when starting a service with new service provider... even if your dog comes to us from another daycare... imagine what that change to environment and furry friends would feel like to an adult dog who once had a routine and friendships with a specific group of dogs. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t and we’d rather help you find the right service and service provider than force your dog into ours. So, what makes a good daycare dog to us? 1- a dog who is already dog social 2- a dog who has some basic science based training under their belt or is working on it 3- a dog that can be handled very easily by a variety of staff and is comfortable with people in general 4- a dog who is not overly vocal 5- a dog who’s potty habits are strong In fact there is SO much more that we consider all day every day that it can be overwhelming for us. All of this and more matter for the sake of the well being of ALL the dogs, as well as our staff. # #mindfulmutts See more

Holly is so friendly and cute but holy moly is she ever tough to photograph lolll she doesn’t sit still for very long because she’s just so stoked to play!
