Do you roll your eyes when Cheryl tells you she actually LOVES working out? What if I told you the same? I used to think I had to workout. End of story. I didn’t think it mattered whether I enjoyed it, whether it fulfilled me, or was a source of fun and empowerment. I quite literally thought it was some annoying box I had to check off everyday. ... You with me on that? Okay but now allllll of that is so untrue. I DO enjoy movement. It DOES fulfill me beyond belief. It IS a source of fun and superhuman-like empowerment. My training sessions are the highlights of my days! So I guess Cheryl and I have a lot in common But how did I get from point A to point B?? Here are a few tips: Make NOT moving your body an available option, without judgement of yourself Carve enough time in your day to enjoy your movement (if you’re rushing, odds are you won’t be very present) Choose YOUR movement. Don’t look to social media, or even your friends, to determine how you move your body. What feels fun and healthy for you?? Do that. You deserve to actually feel free and empowered in your movement, and in your health Make it happen for yourself! What forms of movement do you LOVE?? COMMENT IN EMOJIS! See more

When I was 10, I got picked last in gym class. From that moment on, I didn’t feel welcome in the world of fitness. The idea of being on a sports team made my palms sweat, and I didn’t even want to play outside because I didn’t believe I belonged anywhere that I’d have to run, jump or throw. ‘I’m not the active one’ ... That was the identity I’d accepted. Fast forward 10 years, and I can confidently stand in the truth that I AM AN ATHLETE. But honestly, I don’t care about the label anymore, because I actually enjoy movement. That’s all that matters. I know I belong. I know I am the active one. I am everything I want to be, and more. And although I’ve still never played on a sports team, I understand that the world of fitness is available to me without conditions or judgements. And it’s available to you, too. Always.
