Finally got back out under the stars with my good friend Shannon Bileski to photograph the Northern Lights. Hope you enjoy this short little timelapse, and make sure to Like, Share and Comment. Thanks!
Last night I took over 450 water drop images and ended up with only 11 keepers, but this doesn't mean the other images were terrible. When photographing water drops you will get a lot of images that look very similar or you won't get the shape you are looking for. It really is a numbers game. Even with a timing system you are constantly changing parameters by the milliseconds to see what effect it will have on the drop. There are many other factors that can affect how the wa...ter reacts and takes shape: water temps, water levels, height at which the drop falls, and additives. I'm still figuring things out, but I think I am getting closer to getting it dialed in the way I want. Please comment, like and share. Thanks.
Tonight's water drop session went a bit better than last weekend. Changed up my water mixture a bit, and I will have to tweak it a bit more, but over all I'm quite happy with the results. I have well over 200 hundred photos to edit, but here is a sneak peak. Let me know what you think.
I was back at it again Sunday evening. I'm still trying to figure out this new system, but I'm making progress. Water drop photography is by far the hardest type of photography I've ever done. There are so many things to take into account and it is extremely frustrating yet gratifying at the same time.
Been working on this set over the last few days. Do you think I should make these into 13x19 prints as well?
Last night I assembled my new 3 valve waterdrop kit. It's been a while since I did any waterdrop photography. I still have quite a few kinks to work out, but I'm hoping this new system will allow me to take my waterdrop photography to the next level. Here are a few images from last night. Let me know what you think?
Trying out a new piece of software today, and I was able to do something I wasn't able to do successfully before. This needs some work still, but so far I'm quite happy with the results. What do you guys think?
Here is another crazy looking image I created from my smoke photos. This image will be available as a one off 24"X24" Framed Acrylic Print for $1000.00 plus shipping.
Here another new edit of one of my smoke images. All of these images are available as 13x19 prints for only $35.00. Send me a direct message if you are interested.
