Thank you to all the families that tuned in to our online classes! We’re sad the term is over, but grateful we could go ahead with classes! We hope to see everyone again in September, and hopefully all in the same room!

Hello Everyone! Just a quick update on Mini Musicians! I was hesitant to start classes after Christmas due to the slight influx of cases we saw in Nova Scotia. My main concern has always been to keep our little people as safe as possible! I will be offering a Spring session, and details will be up within the next week! I am currently teaching a Parent & Tot dance class at Cobequid Dance Academy on Sunday mornings. It’s a lot of fun, and the little outfits for dancers are ad...orable (available at Centre Stage Dancewear). Stay tuned for class info coming soon!

Thank you to the families who expressed interest in the Fall Mini Musicians term! We also know many families are waiting all little while longer before attending programs with their little ones. Unfortunately, we did t have enough registrations to offer classes for the Fall term, but we do plan to offer classes in 2021! Thank you for your continued support of our little local program!

I’m so excited to be part of the Impact! Choir team! Myself and Emma Smit-Geraghty will be directing the Impact! Jr. choir. Hello Everyone! We’re planning for classes starting this October! We have a new home at Cobequid Dance Academy, and new guidelines in place to keep everyone safe during Covid. The Baby & Me class is a singing circle with baby friendly rhythm instruments. Movers & Shakers includes the use of rhythm sticks, introduction of musical symbols, as well as dancing and actions. ... In the past instruments have been in the centre of the circle for everyone to use, but with the new Covid guidelines, I will have individual bags of instruments for each child. This way, they can play, and parents don’t have to worry about germs being spread. The class sizes will be smaller this year, and only one guardian per child will be allowed in class. We will be in a large room, so there will be lots of space to spread out. Because of the social distancing we will be able to do, mask will be optional during the class. Masks will be required to enter and exit the building. We will not be offering drop in options this year. In the past, my goal has been for classes to be intimate, and for parents and children to be able to socialize while working on basic and fine motor skills, as well as melody repetition. The class will not feel quite as cozy because of our spacing, but the goal will be to create a musical space for parent and child to bond!
