Having a serious mani-pedi day! Nail trims are very important towards proper posture and gait in the dog. Ideally you don't want to hear nails clicking on the ground. Did you know that trimming the fur away from around their foot pads helps give them better traction on our slick indoor floors? This is especially helpful for seniors and to help reduce injuries. Happy Thursday!

5 years ago Bryson was hopeful to find someone to play a game of tug with. It didn't work out for him.

All Bryson knows is that he got to go for a car ride to today and meet people. Don't tell him he saw two doctors! He had his echocardiogram with the cardiologist and his eye exam with an ophthalmologist. All results normal! Making sure we are breeding healthy pups! And not that I'm bragging (I am totally bragging) but they said he was the best behaved dog of the day. (He was also the last dog of the day) ma' boy

If you have been to our place to visit puppies in the past, you may have seen yoga mats and carpet in the puppy areas. As much as this is a pain to clean (and these items typically have a very short lifespan as a result) it's important to know why anyone would go though the trouble! Development of the hip joint is crucial in the first three months of life and most important during those first few weeks while they are still with the breeder. Good floor traction helps them get ...their little legs under them as they get walking and allows for proper, healthy hip joint development through good biomechanics. Genetics and other factors do play a role, but there is certainly an environmental factor that we absolutely can control, so we do! This rubber flooring is definitely a pain in the beeeehind, but we would not be in line with our values and goals if we didn't have it. :) See more
