The Miniota & Area Foundation is now accepting applications for funding from any charitable, cultural, education or recreational organizations in the area, and wishes to invite anyone who holds a Revenue Canada Charitable Registration number to submit an application. Grant decisions will be made by the board in accordance with the Foundation objectives and guidelines. Completed applications for funding will be received until December 20th, 2020 by email to [email protected] or being mailed to PO Box 70 Miniota, MB R0M 1M0. *To receive a PDF Grant Application copy, please email [email protected] and we would be happy to send your organization one

The Miniota + Area Foundation is currently working on putting together a "Social Distancing Scavenger Hunt" that people/couples/families will be able to safely do without getting in contact with others. Participants will sign up online and pay via etransfer or mail and all communication will be done by email/Facebook messenger. It will be open over the course of 2 weeks so people have plenty of time to give it a try. It will be spread out throughout the former RM of Miniota ...so that everyone has a chance to check out the beautiful area that we are so fortunate to call "home". It will be $20 to participate and the winner will take home half the total pot, with the other half being donated to the Miniota + Area Foundation - a cause that benefits us all! It will be open to anyone and everyone, so feel free to spread the word to family and friends who may be looking to safely get out of the house, while still practicing social distancing and self-isolation!
