Happy World Turtle Day! Red-eared sliders are popular pets. Unfortunately, many pet owners have released Red-eared sliders into natural ecosystems. Red-eared s...liders compete with BC's native turtles, like the endangered Western painted turtle, for basking sites, food, and habitat and may carry diseases such as Salmonella bacteria. Remember, Don't Let It Loose! Red-eared slider, Joy Viola, bugwood.org

Minnekhada today... just what the doctor ordered. Saw a bear eating salmon, bald eagles, herons, two Douglas squirrels playing tag, a huge raven who flew right in front of us and the company of our wonderful friend Jasper
This close, it seems the living forest breathes with you, & nature itself enters your spirit. Welcome to your winter escape.
This bear IS ALIVE it was a tag and release under sedation , but just to give u perspective of a grizzly bears paw!!
