Hi everyone, Please read below for an update from the MLNS executive board. The board has been communicating regularly during this time as per usual. ... We have also been attending weekly zoom meetings hosted by Monique Poirer, the Children Services Manager with the City of Greater Sudbury. She has been informing all childcare centres what the guidelines they (and we) must follow in order to open back up during this time. One of the stipulations is that each childcare facility can only have up to 10 people (i.e. one cohort of 10) using one room at all times. This means due to the ratio we could only have 8 children total in the program plus Jenn and one back-up staff. We could not have multiple groups, just the one group of 8. Also, at this point we are not able to have parent volunteers. We are also not able to raise tuition fees either at this point to cover costs of having less children enrolled. Having 8 children enrolled isn’t sustainable for us as we usually have 30+ children. Therefore our program will have to put on hold at this point. We are hoping for a later Fall start or a Jan start. But that date depends on many factors as things evolve. We value your constant support and love for our school. Lindsay, Jenn, Amy, Erin, Shannon and Melissa

Hi everyone, As you are aware Ontario schools will not be re-opening on April 6th. We are not sure if they will re-open before this school year ends. We follow suit with what the schools do - so we will re-open when they do. I should also state that our school is in a city building and city buildings are closed to the public at this time. ... We thank you for your continued support and understanding during this time. We have been through a lot in 1 year and we appreciate everyone standing by us. Our Porketta bingo and silent auction was a great success thanks to all of you! We raised $2017.77 for the nursery school. Thank you to everyone who came or who donated.
