We want to thank everyone who came out to our Blueberry Festival - Covid-19 style! As you can see from the photos, our guests followed the social distancing rule, and for that we thank you. What will we be up to next? At this point we have no idea, but..... you never know what a bunch of older folk will get up to these days. So keep checking back to see what we may have hidden up our sleeves.

This Friday is our Blueberry Festival!! I know that I can't wait! Love blueberries anyway I can get them! Due to Covid-19 we will observe all precautions - social distancing lines will be marked on the ground in the parking lot (hence no parking available). Just a reminder that The Mira Seniors' will be hosting a group of those interested in cutting out and sewing cancer hats for those requiring them after having chemo.. We will be doing these at the Centre at Marion Bridge on Thursday, Feb. 27th starting around 10 a.m. Ladies will be there with the material and patterns as well as sewing machines. They are not difficult to make and those experienced in making them will be there too. We will be serving sandwiches and sweets at noon. Even if you have never made these hats before you are invited to come along and see how it is done. These are in high demand at the hospitals and are distributed from the cancer unit at the Regional Hospital.
