As the year 2020 draws to an end we would like to take this time to thank all that helped make this year a memorable one that blew away our every expectations of funds raised. With seeds planted in memory of our Miracle Max less then 2 years ago we can hardly believe we’ve brought in over $200k to help fight childhood cancer! We’re so excited to see you again in 2021 and wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Good bye Halloween... hello Christmas. We’ve replaced our wagon of pumpkins with greenery from some pruning we’re doing to some trees here on the farm. The branches are all sizes from spruce and pine trees that can be used in your Christmas decorations so please help yourself to as much as you’d like and leave a donation of your choice. You can find the wagon by our donation box in the lane at 5023 Douglas Line. #Smile UPDATE: (Nov 14th 8:00pm) Wow folks! What an over...whelming response to our last minute decision to throw evergreen branch’s on our wagon for donations... I just dumped the donation box to find a very generous$755 dollars raised today to go towards helping kids fighting cancer. We filled the wagon a second time today and it was looking on the low side come dark tonight. Don’t worry if you never made it out as we have plenty more trees to trim and should have lots for the next couple weeks. If it’s raining tomorrow we likely won’t bother working out in it but will be sure to get the stalk replenished come Monday morning. Thanks for the support and have a wonderful weekend! See more

After another successful minion season, Max is smiling down on us once again. With the generosity of the Miracle Max's Minions and their incredible community, ...we are so grateful to receive a donation of $50,000 for our Max's Passes These passes provide hospital parking to our families during treatment. Thank you to everyone who supported the sunflower fields, the walk and everything else in between; what a wonderful way to kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness month and celebrate Minion season.

What A Day To Remember! A day for some great company, a relaxing round of golf and a day to remember those who have fought the fight against illness. A Day To Remember golf tournament held their 17th annual today with Miracle Maxs Minions named as this years receiving charity. For those who know me know that you wont catch me on the golf coarse very often unless its for a cause and today was a great cause! It was an honour to be part of this day that Mike and Sandra R...ombouts have been organizing all these years and could feel their passion for what the day means to the families they help with funds raised. In their 17 years holding this golf tournament theyve raised just under $500k to give to families and charities in need. We are so very humbled by the generous donation of $25k that will go towards our cause. We had a lil wrap up party last night after our 10,000 paces for 10,000 faces virtual ChildCan walk from our Douglas Line site to our Stonepickers site that Team Max has raised over $7k and counting for. It was a perfect day wrapped up with a perfect meal from Pineridge BBQ Co and our very own SMILE Ale beer. Thanks to everyone who came out and donated to our cause this year! Were looking so forward to writing some big cheques this month during Childhood Cancer Awareness month and making plans for 2021 Minion season #smile

Look who showed their faces just in time for Childhood cancer awareness month. The late planted minions to fill in the middle of some of the letters in our Miracle Max corn maze are in full bloom Our pumpkins are coming along nicely... soon to be your Max-O-Lanterns (they wont be ready until late September to early October) well keep ya posted as we get closer to pumpkin harvest. Our other minion fields are now done their bloom... if you want one last chance to grab a pic or two with our minions these spots in our corn maze at 5023 Douglas Line are not huge and will only last another 10 days or so. #smile

As you can see our Douglas Line site still has fresh flowers amongst a field of mature plants as well as spread out through our corn maze... remember our Douglas Line Site will remain open into the fall... sunflowers or not its a pretty special place to roam... come out for a walk anytime dawn till dusk 7 days a week weather permitting... come watch our pumpkin patch grow while you head to the corn maze entrance and dont forget to #smile

Our Minion fields have been a buzz not only with busy s but also with busy photographers helping families capture their memories forever with a back drop of Maxs minions. Theres one very busy photographer that needs an honourable mention! Shes Kevins (Maxs dad) cousin and she had a whooping 42 families out to our Douglas Line patch in the first week of August dodging rain storms and racing to get done before darkness set in each night. Today on behalf of these 42 families she made a huge $1690 etransfer donation! So we would like to give Trish Anderson a great big Miracle Max thank you for her hard work in helping us help others! We should also note that Trish and her husband Scotty have three young children of their own so thanks also goes to dad for covering while mom was out hanging with the minions #teammax #smile

Monday Minion update August 10/2020 Weve been fielding a lot of questions on if our Minion fields are still in bloom so I thought Id better put out another update on the status of our fields. Our Douglas Line patch is starting to lose its full field bloom but we do have some late bloomers and yet to bloom plants from the self seeded plants from last year in the minion patch as well as spread throughout our Miracle Max corn maze. We also want to let you know that this patc...h will remain open into the fall until we harvest the corn so you can continue to enjoy the space and corn maze regardless of blooms. Remember we have a pumpkin patch that we hope to have lots of pumpkins to offer for your Halloween jack-o-lanterns or should we call them Max-o-lanterns Our Stonepickers site is still looking great with the full field bloom expected to last the rest of this week. The minion patch near Kettle Point is now our freshest flowers and should be in bloom for another 10-14 days (its the field on the south side of highway 21 east of the lane at: 7311 Lakeshore Road. If youve been to our Douglas Line minion patch this year you probably noticed our new guest standing guard out front of our corn maze. Shes a life size replica of a holstein dairy cow and she was brought to us from the Lambton County Dairy Producers whos committee dropped by the patch tonight with a cheque for $2000 to go towards our cause. Thanks Lambton dairy producers for the very generous donation and for all you do to bring milk to our tables! #smile

UPDATE ON FLOWERING AT EACH SITE Happy civic holiday Monday everyone! Heres a quick update on each field and where it is in its bloom. Bayfield is now mostly done its bloom and closed to the public. 5023 Douglas Line is in full to late bloom with blooms expected to last the rest of this week. This site has straw down on our paths and will be the best spot to visit while its wet although our flats will accumulate water so rubber boots are suggested. Weve also took sign...s down directing you to our U pick area as its been pretty much picked over so please help yourself to a flower or two from anywhere in the patch at Douglas Line (this site is our only flower picking site now) and dont forget to take a stroll through our corn maze that also has straw down on pathways. Stonepickers site at 7143 Forest Road is in full bloom now and should have good flowers through next weekend and into the 2nd week of August. Our site near Kettle Point is done flowering on the north side of the highway but has a field on the south side of the highway that was planted later and just coming into flower now so it should have flowers until approximately Aug 14th. This field is on the east side (left side) of the lane at 7311 Lakeshore Road (please dont block the lane) and remember to: #smile See more

Small town folks just keep on stepping up to help us in our cause. My friend Donald Lunn who sells plant fertilizer for Alvinston based Cangrow not only donated all the plant food for our Minions here at our Douglas Line as well as our Stonepickers sites. He reached out to me last week to see if there was anything else he could help out with. Knowing Don is a well connected man in our community I asked if he knew of anyone that could make us up 1-2 more donation boxes and he said to leave it with him. Don then reached out to his friends at HFL fabricating in Kerwood and they put together not just a box but 2 pieces of art! Tonight Miracle Maxs Minions had a visit from the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers 016 Sarnia Chapter. They were quite a sight and definitely a lot of sound! Maxs sunflower stood at attention as they all cruised by on their way out. Thanks for the show!

Yet another day filled with blessing at the minion patch... First off we were invited to Stonepickers brewing company to help give some minions a bath in one of their vats to start another round of SMILE Ale. A beer made with love from our Minions and a name given by Maxs parents thats an acronym for: See Miracles In Life Everyday. Were so happy that Joe and Mary decided to make a bigger batch this year! The beer should be ready in the first part of September for our tas...ting pleasure... Our day then ended with a nice little shower of rain and a visit from some folks from Lucan who had a charity hockey game all planned and set with all proceeds destined for our cause but then COVID hit and the game had to be postponed. Although the game was postponed they still had collected a pile of donations and wanted to get that all to us. So tonight we graciously excepted a whopping $7600 from the Lucan Fire and Ice charity hockey game committee... THANKS LUCAN!!! oh and to wrap it all up we watched as a full rainbow spread across our farm here on Douglas... #lifeisgood #smile See more

We had a special visitor with a very special surprise to our Douglas Line patch this morning. Rob and his daughter Hailey brought Jamie a gift from Kevin. A masterpiece that Kevin envisioned but he needed someone with the skill to make his vision a reality. Thats when he found Red Iron Design owned by Robert Bobinac and his partner Katie Jo. In the end Kevins dream was fulfilled and then some and when he tried to get squared up with Rob, Rob says nope were good we wante...d to do something for your cause... enjoy. The love, support and generosity to Miracle Maxs cause just keeps over flowing our cups here at the Minion patch. Jamie really wanted to take her flower home so she could enjoy it all day every day but decided to leave it by our donation box here for the time being so all could enjoy it while visiting. Went into the Bayfield patch to reflect tonight as it's a good place to remember those who aren't with us any longer and to honour their memory. The flowers in the back of the patch are 6 feet plus tall. It's amazing! Also this little Indigo Bunting kept flying around me and it's been a bird I've wanted to see for a long time. Maybe he was sent to cheer me up. Enjoy the beauty of the fields, the insects, the birds and the smiles everyone.

We picked up our new donated donation boxes today and mounted them on our Miracle Max signs where you can leave a cash donation or send a donation electronically to our Miracle Max account at: [email protected] New for this site is that were going to let you use either side of the highway to save anyone having to cross this very busy fast flowing traffic highway. Please be careful and if ...theres room pull in off the road but please dont block the lane and if you have to park on the shoulder pull way off the road keep track of ur littles and dont step on that road (traffic does not slow down). We ask that at this site you take pictures only and leave the flowers to grow to be harvested. We had the London Free Press out this morning at our original site on Douglas Line for an interview and pictures. The article reads like all our fields are open but currently we only have our Bayfield patch open. Were hoping our field near Kettle Point will be ready to open this weekend with Douglas Line and Stonepickers the last week of July.
