If you've ever wondered what TMR Editor/Contributor Bill Arnott does in his spare time, catch this for a smile.
I'm almost finished this book and it is a very good, well-written personal account of raising a child that was diagnosed (labelled) with Autism. Highly recommended. By Teresa Hedley, published by Wintertickle Press.
"It took a couple of years for this book to find its way to my reading stack, but the relatively brief passage of time is irrelevant. Dwyer’s story of familial introspection, questions of race, conflict and revelation remains timeless." Bill Arnott reviews Maggie Dwyer's "What the Living Do" from FriesenPress.
Back in June, TMR reviewed an ARC of Tatouine by Jean-Christophe Rehel. September 30th was its official launch of yet another fine translation by QCfiction. "Tatouine is the fifteenth QC Fiction release, and it is one of it’s most accessible titles. Even if (like me) you don’t get all the references to Star Wars and LOTR, it still makes for a very worthwhile read, and it gives a glimpse into the solitary and limited world of a CF sufferer." Looking forward to reading this one!
"A good writing day starts with two cups of strong black coffee and a walk in the woods with my dog. A lot of inspiration for Something Drastic came from taking in the forest its sounds, colours, textures." That's author Luke Inglis in an exclusive interview with TMR. Luke talks about his new novel, "Something Drastic" from NON Publishing. https://bit.ly/LukeInglisInterview
