Halloween Mini's were so much fun this year. Time to get my head into Christmas minis now. I'm thinking last weekend of November. Christmas mini's run $250.00. Stay tuned for date release. I think the scare level was a little too intense for some of the younger ones this year. However some younger ones loved the creepy set up so much. ... These are some of the neighbourhood kids and a few of my boys having fun after was done work. He loves to play dead.

Organizing a few newborn set ups for a little girl. One of the newest brilliance club babies.

These little ladies had a few special family pieces surrounding them for their tea party themed session. We had such a fun time with this fall session. Its been a few years of trying to get this session completed. Im so happy we waiting until this year for the full theme. ... The girls were just that little bit older, to really be able to enjoy it. I just met an amazing woman who offers such an important service for women! Post natal care moms! If you have struggles after babies or aging , she is there to help you. I dont often promote businesss on here, however the amount of new moms who have come to get images done who have mentioned post natal issues, I have to share :)... The twins are growing up fast. Soon to start kindergarten here at O'Learyland :) . So many reason why we are going this way now. My work life will be having to make some shifts for our new life style. I just dont know how yet. I have been preparing to homeschool the kids for the last year. Now seems like it would be the easiest time to get it started. ... Math was my biggest worry, but I have chosen to give the math u see program a try in that area. ( I suck at math) This school year seems all over the place with unknowns. I'm tired of worrying what the guidelines will be, the restrictions of natural social interaction and play and the impacts on their mental well being. Plus as a parent not having access to the building my kids are in doesn't sit well with me after everything happening during this time. I don't want to have this time of learning wasted by shutting down again and having to struggle through online learning and super crappy internet services here. The older girls are willing to give it a fair chance in high school to see if they are getting what they want out of their schooling. I think they mostly want the social time. This is such a hard time for so many parents. Choices on what they are comfortable with, and what they are not, these are very hard choices to make during this time. As you all know I have strong opinions on things, I'm not one to bend on how I want my kids to experience life. We are all feeling excited to start the new adventure of homeschool. I'm reminding myself I can always change my mind down the road for school if homeschool is not my Jam. I think I'm now ready for it, and excited for it, my shelves are full and prepared as I can be for the full year of learning. Who else out there is going this route this year? Maybe we can hang out once in a while for some social time. Im going to try to work at least a day or two a week for sessions. So available spaces will be more limited. Please keep this in mind if you are looking into fall family sessions.

Cute little set up ready for tomorrows session. We had to merge this families missed sessions over quarantine into one session. It will be a mix of family, 2nd birthday and 1st birthday.

Hi Everyone, I know its been a long time. As you can imagine life took us all for a rollercoaster ride. Im just starting to get back on my feet with work to figure out how to move forward. I had to reschedule and cancel many appointments over the last three months and will be back to it tomorrow starting with the rescheduled clients. ... My studio spaces have been transformed in big big ways. The indoor studio will have limited access due to regulations and to the fact the teens have moved into the space. 24 hours in the house together over the past three months was very hard, so we made this transition for them to do their schooling in peace and to help with their mental wellness. They are happy there so I will keep them there. I do have a smaller area to work inside with small number of client set ups. The outdoor space still has its charm in all the pretty backdrops , pathways , covered bridge etc. We have been working hard towards our next chapter within the next few years. Homesteading. Our studio space now showcases small Apple trees , plum trees, berry bushes, hugelkultur beds,vegetable gardens and much more. Its been an exciting transformation. The world shutting down made me see how I need to focus more on being secure for my families needs. I have decided I will no longer be offering wedding services so I can focus more time towards the homestead projects I need to work on. I will be focusing on outdoor family sessions until I phase out of the photography industry in the coming years. I have been in business for the past 17 years. Its been amazing , Im not ending the chapter just yet . I am however moving closer to our next business goals. Thank you for all your support over the years and I hope to see your family in this summer and fall for your family sessions. Im expecting baby goats soon too. Part 2 of a first birthday /cake smash session. There is one main thing I love most about my studio. Its that if a child needs a small break during thier session. We have an immediate option to go inside to the studio or to the outside gardens studio.... This little Miss needed a break, so we hopped outside to enjoy some of the day. We finished off back inside for her Cake smash. It was a funny one! Im so happy I get to share these memories with parents. What a great day this was. Many new mothers do not feel top form after only a few days post delivery, but I always try to treat and pay special attention to the details, lighting and angle for them. Some newborn poses are a bit more challenging to create. Some babies come in during their first 5-10 days old and are very much still in the sleepy stage which is easier to pose. Giving me better opportunity to create different set ups for their newborn session.... Once babies start getting a bit older, they are more alert to their surroundings and sounds.
