Just the edging, hangers and cleaning/polishing to go! I tried so hard to finish this one today, but a migraine forced me to shut down this afternoon. I developed the pattern from a painting done by my client.

Oh, wow.... the price of 60/40 solder just went up again! My retail price just jumped $5 per roll. New price is $29.95 plus GST, SO... that brings it up to $31.45 per roll.

So... these are the options for my suncatcher class... all pretty feminine.... any subject suggestions for male participation in the class? And which option would you remove?

And... Cheryl came back and finished her wolf this afternoon. She did an awesome job of it... especially the soldering! Soldering is usually the step that students have the most trouble with, but she totally aced it!

Well, we did what was supposed to be the second half of a suncatcher workshop today. My 2 students both wanted to do specific patterns with more pieces than my normal suncatcher class, and we went well over the allotted time. Shown below is the one piece that got finished today.... Love the colors he chose for his trout. My other student is coming back tomorrow afternoon to solder her wolf. I'm going to have to develop a more masculine pattern for the suncatcher class with less pieces..... any suggestions on subject matter???

I finished my last batch of poppies, so I finally have some in stock. My dear husband was a major help with this batch... he did all the cutting and most of the grinding... such an awesome helper when I'm getting overwhelmed!

Some little hummingbird ornaments hot off the soldering table today... one commissioned and 4 for my studio Christmas tree. They are just under 4" beak tip to tail tip, and just under 3 3/4" beak tip to widest wing tip.

7 mini hummingbirds ready to solder, and 1 mini feather cut and ground (7 more to go) to fill a couple of orders for Christmas ornaments. Pretty tiny, fidley pieces... this may take a while. I have 3 classes coming up in the next couple of weeks, so will have to work on these between teaching and class prep.

Busy soldering today! Angels were redesigned from a freestanding 3D piece. Poppies were a commission for Rememberance Day... still need to do some of the poppies for stock/display.
