Graphs are drawings that showmathematicalinformation with lines, shapes, and colours. Graphs are also known as charts. We use graphs to compare amounts of things or othernumbers. Graphs are useful because they can be easier to understand than numbers and words alone. There are many different kinds of graphs. Some of the most common kinds are bar graphs, pictographs, and line graphs. #privatetutoring #privatetutor #oneononetutoring #virtuallearning #distancelearning #missbeesscholars #learning #education #graphs #mathematics #math #bargraphs #linegraphs #lineplots #pictographs #datamanagement #collectingdata

BAR GRAPH A bar graphshows amounts as bars of different sizes and, sometimes, of different colors. Longer bars represent larger numbers. Shorter bars represent smaller numbers. For example, this bar graph completed by a student demonstrates that Class A has 14 students who like red, Class B has 3 students who like red, and Class C has 8 students who like red. ... #privatetutor #privatetutoring #oneononetutoring #missbeesscholars #inhometutoring #virturaltutoring #virtuallearning #mathematics #math #numeracy #graphs #datamanagement #bargraphs #canadiancurriculum #ontariocurriculum

You can rise from anything. You can completely recreate yourself. Nothing is permanent. You’re not stuck. You have choices.... You can think new thoughts. You can learn something new, You can create new habits. All that matters is that you, decide today and never look back. WELCOME TO 2021

The language of visual art, colours, shapes, lines, and images, speak to us in ways that words cannot. Art connects to what is inside of us: our thoughts, feelings and perceptions with outer realities and life experiences. Art can provide a very natural and safe way for children to express themselves. They can play, experiment, make a mess, create stories, use metaphors to represent feelings, explore alternative narratives, externalise their feelings by creating characters, r...eflect, and share their art with others. They may choose to use different colours, textures, materials, objects, photographs, collages, sculptures or films, to express themselves. The possibilities are almost endless and can be adapted to suit the individual needs of each child or group of children. This masterpiece depicts a range of emotions from happiness to excitement using only primary colours. #oneononetutoring #privatetutoring #oneononelearning #missbeesscholars #visualarts #pencilcrayonart #mandela #crosscurricularlearning #teachersofinstagram #teachersofig #education #learning #brampton #caledon #gta

Did you know hands-on sight word activities merge students’ kinesthetic learning with visual learning? In this video our student is using alphabet blocks to gain a more hands-on learning experience while practicing her sight words. Sight words are commonly used words that young readers are taught to memorize. These words need to be memorized and recognized by sight. Learners are encouraged not to decode the words using general phonics patterns. There are variety of ways for students to learn and use sight words. Frequent exposure is key! I personally love using flashcards. How do you practice sight words with your students? Comment below and share!
