During a Zoom call reunion a few weeks ago, I touched base with Sani and was catching up over old times. I found this clip and shared the screen of one of our performances at @danceimmersion 2013 Summer showcase. I remember being on double duty at that show. One performance with Caribbean Folk Performers and then rushing backstage for another costume change to get ready go back on stage for this Ijo Vudu set with @harambeedanceco drummers. Walking out with dununs on our h...ead and the subsequent choreo lead to an infamous photo taken by Nation that he later exhibited at the Royal Ontario Museum. During the call, and to my surprise, Sani showed me that he has that large framed photo on the wall of his home. The performance life has many stories... and many changes occurred for both of us.
