This Saturday November 25, the Mission India 2017 team is hosting a complimentary dinner to thank all those who supported our mission as well as to share our experience with you! Refer to poster for location, time, and contact details

3 weeks today the Mission India Team will be heading back for another round of medical and vision clinics. We have been so busy preparing all year and we are so thankful for the support we've received! In the final stages all that's left is to gather things to bring with us to donate to schools, women's shelters, and the team that operates in India! If you'd like to help - we can use anything from children's and women's clothing, to stationary supplies such as crayons, teaching aids, colouring books, stickers (a bit hit!), etc. Contact us here or any member of the team directly! Also want to remind everyone of the send-off and prayer night that will take place on September 17th at 6:30pm at Hillpark Bible Church! We will have a great night of fellowship, prayer, and worship... and maybe some yummy samosas too!

The Mission India team will be on a plane this time next week! Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we make all of our last minute preparations!

Looking for something fun to do for Canada Day?! Come down to Bayfront Park!! Specifically Pier 4 - the Mission India team is set up selling water and coke all day! Come by, cool off, and say hi!

Packing up some glasses for Vision Clinics that will be part of Mission India 2017 Medical Camps, as well as some other donated items! We have a little rascal who wants to stowaway and be a part of our mission (he didn't help much with the packing)!

We just wrapped up the Mission India 2017 Walkathon! We walked a great 5km around the beautiful bay front @ pier 8. Thanks to all those who came out to walk, and all those who generously sponsored and donated! You are all supporting a great cause, helping women and children from the Dalit community in India! Wondering who we are, and what we are doing? Masala Ministries is a local charitable organization with an outreach focus to the South Asian Community. The Dalit Freedom Network aims to end Dalit trafficking in India, and focuses on prevention through education. The word Dalit means "broken, down-trodden, or oppressed". The Dalit people - also known as "untouchables" - have been the most oppressed caste in India, living at the bottom of the country's social order. Dalits com...prise about 1/4 of the population in India. Dalit women and children are highly vulnerable to various forms of exploitation, including human trafficking and child prostitution. Masala Ministries is partnering yet again with the Dalit Freedom Network with a mission to free 100 young Dalit girls from human trafficking and child prostitution. Masala Ministries has united a team who will also provide much needed medical care to hundreds of Dalit children in the slums of India. The Mission India: 2017 team is grateful to have this opportunity to reach out to those in need. We are looking forward to traveling to India in September/October of 2017! We will be organizing a variety of events and fundraisers in order to help us reach our goal and facilitate our journey to India!
