Seems like the baby season continues.. We are just hopping on here to say.. let us know when you are a hint pregant.. We are taking very limited families into care and we would love to prioritize our families we know and love.. but if you don’t let us know - then you might be too late and lose your spot - and that is the worst feeling for us (as we don’t want to ever say not to a familiar face!)... (And yes we can get full very very fast for mommas on the waitlist already)

Loving this good news story today. Thinking of all our wonderful health care workers busy behind the scenes and all the hard work they continue to do.. (who knew we would all need this kind of encouragement still. Keep spreading the love.. it’s loudly heard and hits straight to the heart )

This post is so touching as well as so perfectly illustrated as to who Basak was as a midwife. We think of her often .. still such a hard and unexpected loss to the birthing community

Overjoyed to see a light at the end of this very long journey. We are thinking of our health care worker friends and colleagues hoping they can give it one more big push before we can all breath (and HUG) again. Also thinking about our friends at public health.. you have been amazing trying to keep up with everything as it pivots on the daily If you know a healthcare worker.. show them some extra love we know we sure love them.

Since Christmas is around the bend- Let’s do something fun and support our local businesses and makers! We know and love so many of you!! We will start since we have something we carry in the clinic Karla's Specialteas... Karla has been blending teas forever and she provides us with her special blends and for pregancy and postpartum (Red raspberry, Nusring blend, Postpartum bath Soak) She is a local to Mission and friend to all. She endured a terrible business fire this year (located on first ave) so with all this in mind - we wanna give her a special-tea shout out! Tell us who you love and link their page below here (Mission, Abbotsford, Maple Ridge). Let’s do our best to support our communities https://www.facebook.com/KarlasSpecialteas/

Remembering our families today, remembering the loved ones we have lost and to the people who keep us safe

Mission Midwives 24.10.2020

Welcome to our wonderful October babies

Mission Midwives 21.10.2020

We cannot stop thinking about this sweet family. It reminds us that we need to stay firm on our expectations on clinic arrival safety measures and the measures we take to keep you protected. Cases and exposures are being reported too close for our own comfort. Please know - It’s not to create fear but a realistic reminder of why we say.. please come alone to appointments. ... We know it’s hard and heartbreaking to not be able to bring your children and loved ones to clinic to share in the experience. We agree.. Covid prenatal care can feel unfair.. because it’s different - you are living through a unique time personally and globally.. we are living through a pandemic - together. Stories like this remind us on why we need to stay the course.. for each other. We are all feeling the fatigue of COVID and we understand you are so so careful.. and we are so so thankful. It’s truly not our wish to keep anyone from this very special journey. We are trying to keep the amount of people who enter our building to a minimum. To protect you, your community, our own families and the midwives who serve you.

Just a little shout out to all our amazing families who we have served these last several months. This hasn’t been the full meal deal prenatal experience.. We totally get that. It hasn’t been for us either. Navigating COVID and doing the right thing has been rough. We miss the toddlers and the friends, sisters and mom in laws that came along for the ride. We miss the toys, the waiting room of banter and chatter and most of all the HUGS. But you know what has been easy - our w...onderful clients. You. YOU have been graciously rolling with the punches. You have been washing your hands, mask wearing and protecting space. So when another public announcement came to limit contacts.. you stepped up. Thank you for protecting us - and protecting others. We never wanna be the bad guys or the party pooper - and you have never made us feel like we have had to be. So for all of this we are so so thankful
